Movie Summary:

            A man wakes up with his girlfriend to hear shouts from the room next to them. A male is sucked out of the window when a strange light hypnotizes him to follow. He gets trapped in the alien spaceship. The man in the beginning is being hypnotized, but his friends stop him from going out the window. His buddy brings down the blinds. The movie goes back to 15 hours later.

            Jared the man who was saved is on a flight to visit his high school buddy Ray with his girlfriend Elaine. The two arrive in L.A and are picked up in a limo, his friend is rich, and lives in a luxurious penthouse. Jared reunites with Ray and he is introduced to Ray’s girlfriend Candice, assistant Denise, and work friend. All of them head down to the pool and chat. Night comes and they are having a party, during the party the work friend tells Jared he should move permanently to L.A. Elaine is upset that he would consider moving since she loves where they live, she goes to the bathroom. Ray tells Jared to consider moving because he can give him a good paying job.

            Jared talks to his girlfriend, and she tells him she is pregnant. Jared is shocked and not very happy about the news. Later on they all go to bed, Denise and the work friend in the living room and the couples in their own rooms. They wake up continuing from the very beginning after the work friend is sucked out, they all panic and don’t know what to do. Jared and Ray go up to the roof with Denise’s camera. They take pictures of the spacecraft sucking humans from the ground. They show the others the pictures, Candice flips through all the pictures and comes across her boyfriend and Denise making out. Ray goes to his neighbour to help but he is sucked out with his dog, Ray runs back and tells them all they are leaving L.A by boat since they are close to a harbour. Ray and Denise get in his car while Candice and Elaine and Jared go together since she doesn’t want to ride with  Ray. Ray drives out but an alien machine crushes them. The other car goes back in and finds a woman who has just seen one of the aliens take her husbands brain. They keep running until the bump into a security guard. The woman is taken and the others get back to the penthouse.

            The next day Jared decides to leave with Elaine to try to get help with the military that have set up on the roof. They go up there but end up fighting with an alien. Back in the penthouse Candice is sucked out and the security guard blows up the room, killing himself and the alien. Meanwhile Jared is badly injured and cant walk, Elaine stays with him and kiss as the space ship sucks them up. Up in the alien ship Jared is taken and his brain is removed to power the alien. Elaine is next but they can tell she’s pregnant so they take her somewhere else. I think an alien is going to pull out the fetus, but Jared’s brain takes over the alien. He is able to save her. THE END!!!!!!

My Review:

            This movie was pretty bad.  The beginning wasn’t that bad, like when the alien light was hypnotizing the people, it looked cool the make up on their faces, also the effects were good, not at all cheesy. However the actual plot was rather weak. I don’t know if the aliens just needed to harvest brains or if they wanted to take over. Also the ending was extremely stupid. Like seriously Jared is in an alien body and saves his girlfriend. Now what? They jump off and find a home in the country to hide him and raise their baby. Or is he going to stop this invasion. It’s really stupid.

            Lastly I think the movie overall was pretty boring. The invasion was only two days in the movie, and the military people came off really stupid. Also the characters annoyed me. That’s pretty sad since I only watched this movie because I like Crystal Reid from Teen Wolf and Eric Balfour from Haven, two of my favourite shows. SO I was disappointed.

            So, if you like sci-fi movies and aliens you should check this movie out since the effects were pretty good and not cheesy. But I’m not a fan of aliens, so… yeah. Sorry only a 2 stars.
