*Alex's POV*
The flight was long and tiresome. Normally I would accept long as an appropriate excuse as to why I was feeling like crap, but tiresome was my new reason. Jack wouldn't let me sleep, and Rian snores like you cannot believe, I considered Zack as a good option, but he kept getting up to walk around. So I guess you could say that I was looking forward to crashing at some hotel in the bustling city of New York.
hat was until Flyzik burst my bubble with one of his impromptu announcements.
It was in the airport that he decided to drop the bomb. We were all sitting in the lounge having breakfast, which for me (due to my lack of sleep) consisted of solely coffee.
"Okay, well we've made it to New York" he said with a sigh as Jack snapped out of his infatuation with his bacon and egg bagel.
"Yay!" Jack cheered and Rian nodded. Lucky buggers, it seemed that they were the only ones who got enough sleep, but I didn't know about Zack because he was as quiet as usual.
"Let's eat up and hit the bus!" Wait. Bus? Aw Crap. Now I’ll never get some shut eye. The bus was the exact same as the one we'd left in, except a whole lot cleaner. Zack raced into the bedroom and claimed the top bunk, followed by Rian who picked the one below his; I decided to take the other top bunk considering Zack would want the bedside table to put his stuff on. He didn't complain.
It was exactly six o'clock when I woke up. I clambered out of bed and took a cold shower. Warm showers are for wimps. I slunk into a pair of skinny jeans and a t-shirt, but after deciding that it was cold I threw on a hoodie. The guys were in the lounge, all except Zack, who I assumed went for a run. They didn't seem to notice I was there, so I snuck out the bus to get some fresh air.
We had parked in a big car park, which was empty except for us and six other buses exactly the same as ours, except for the different band names on them. I sense of relief ran through me as I realised we were finally here. As I walked down the ends of each bus I felt the cool wind blow in my face, and I felt calm.
All that changed when my worst nightmare stepped out two busses from where I was standing.
That worst night mare was Tay Jardine.
*Tay’s POV*
The last person I wanted to see was Alex Gaskarth. He was just standing there, but even the presence of him made me want to run away. He bit his lip and narrowed his eyes and me, and I made a point of looking down my nose at him, which was easier to do far away because in truth, he was a lot taller than me.
He shuffled slightly and them turned around to walk away, but at the last minute stopped and faced me straight on.
“What you doing here Gaskarth?” I asked as viciously as possible.
“I could ask you the same question, didn’t you here? This concert is for talented artists.” He snapped, looking pleased with himself. I felt my fists clench.
“Exactly Gaskarth, talented, so why are you here?” I said in a dumb voice, as if I was genuinely asking a question. He didn’t reply, only scowl. I thought I had won
“Oh forgot these days being a bitch is a talent, sorry for my ignorance, that must be why you’re here” he said. I couldn’t help but shake my head in disgust.
My worst nightmare had come back to haunt me.
