*Alex's POV*

The four of us are silent around the breakfast table. Everytime we move or speak Jenna (who for some unknown reason is sleeping on our couch) stirs. Jack glances at her every few minutes, as if he's expecting her to wake up any minute now. He looks uncomfortable, but evey now and again it's like he remembers he's happy and he perks up a bit. Rian looks nervous. Why does Rian look nervous? He's been like this for a few days now. It's weird. One minute he's on top of the world about he and Cass getting back together and the next thing you know he gets back from a date looking like he's about to be hit by a bus. Zack's normal. Thank god.

"So um... why is Jenna on our couch?" I ask in a whisper. We all turn to Jack who smiles.

"She turned up on our doorstep last night, she was wasted - Really Wasted. And she was crying and giggling and she couldn't walk and she puked and then we were on the bathroom floor and she didn't know who I was and so she's like 'I need to tell Jack how I felt' but then she changed it to 'feel' and then back to felt. Then she's falling asleep on our couch and she's sleep talking and..." He stops. We're all shocked. Jenna isn't exactly one to drink away her problems, or to drink very much at all. I wonder why he stops. He just does, and then he looks distant. Like his mind isn't with us.

"'Because I love him' that's what she said." He says in a small voice. We are silent a little longer. Rian purses his lips and Zack nods understandingly and I can do neither because I'm still bruised.

"That could mean anything though right? I mean... she could've been sleep talking or something." Rian says.

"Was it 'Because I love him' or 'because I love him." Zack asks.

"Don't they imply the same thing?" I explain. The two of them shrug. Now Jack looks panicked. We shouldn't have said that.

Jack leaves the bus soon after that for some fresh air and Rian follows him. Maybe they can talk about their strange behaviours together. Zack makes coffee for us, and comes out with another cup for Jenna, who he wakes up and makes drink the whole mug. She has a massive hangover and everytime she moves she groans or moans and returns to her orevious position. Zack gives her a constant supply of coffee and disprin and soon Hayley's here too, helping him nurse Jenna out of a hangover from Satan himself.

She doesn't remember anything last night, she admits every now and again. And when she does, Zack and I look at each other empathetically and Hayley looks confused. At around noon Zack pulls her to the kitchen and when they come back I can tell that she knows.

"I think we should go out tonight. The four of us, for dinner and coffee?" Hayley says cheerily. Zack is hesitant at first, but I say it's a great idea and Jenna agrees to come so he does too. Before we're due to leave, Hayley and Jenna (who had almost recovered from he hangover) dissapear to their buses to get showered and dressed and Zack and I do the same. When we're waiting for the girls to reappear he starts to talk about how he and Hayley are together now, and how happy he is. And it gets me thinking about the last week I spent feeling anything but that. Because the only thing that had felt anything close to good was the memory of Tay's fingers tracing across my lips. Before she ran away and decided to go back to that douche-bag-little-fuck-shit-face. And then he asks me.

"How's your bruising?"

"The bruisings' not the problem."

"Mm."

"Yeah."

"What does that mean."

"It means I'm pissed off at the world."

"The world, or Tay?"

"Both."

"I see."

"There's nothing to see."
