*Zack's POV*

Something about Hayley today is different. She's vibrant, smiles like always, but there's a defenitely a difference. When she turns the radio back down and walks off to the couch, hands on hips, I take in her appearance. Her hair is dow, but she does that often, she's wearing a pair of dark blue jeans, a white tank top, black scarf, nothing unusual. She's barefoot, toenails painted silver to match her fingernails. She is absolutely the same look wise as any other day, acts just as she would any other day, and yet she feels different, being around her feels different.

"Watch you looking at Zack?" Hayley says, sitting cross legged on the couch, facing me, biting her lip. I shrug, not sure how to answer. I pace to the couch, but don't sit down.

"You, I guess" I shrug again, sit down cautiously next to her. She cocks her head, looking kind of confused.

"Mmm." She purses her lips. I do the same, she smiles.

"And while you were looking at me, what were you thinking?" She asks, leaning in slightly, looking eager. I shrug again, and shake my head.

"I don't know, you just seem different today, couldn't quite put my finger on it though." I admit, looking down at my hands. She's silent for a while.

"You want to know what I was thinking while you were looking at me?" She says cheerily, unfolding her legs and stretching them in front of her. I nodd, turning my head to face her and laughing under my breath because if any one else had asked that question, it would be weird.

"I was think that that's the first time you've ever really relaxed, that I've seen anyway."

"Yeah?"

"Yup, and I thought that it was wonderful." She smiles, linking arms with me. I look down at her, smiling.

"Wonderful? Really?"

"Really." She confirms and nods certaintly. I laugh in response and this time she's the one looking at me.

"I think that the reason I seem different to you is because your perspective has changed you know, you see things differently because your minds' different, you know. Something inside that brain of yours had clicked, and now you can see things you couldn't see before." She explains, her hair bobbing up and down as she moves her head. It made sense, so I nodded and looked down at her hands, which she had folded in her lap, her fingers twisting and adjusting the ring around her index finger.

"That's crazy Hayley, but it makes sense." I say, looking up at her face again, focusing on the vibrant green of her eyes.

"Crazy? I think you mean genius!" She smiles, blushing slightly. I laugh.

"Depends on the perspective." I say, she giggles.

"I like that you're warming up to the idea of your new perspective." I nod.

A new perspective, a new Hayley.

And she's better than ever, and yet exactly the same.
