Epilogue

Okay guys this is grossly embarrassing coz my Epilogue is lengthier than the chapters.

"That's awesome Dad you will be here next week..yeah you will be grandpa by then..dont worry Dad Nandini is fine..okay so I will see you then bye", Manik was over excited to know about his Dad's arrival.

"Hey cool haan so uncle is going to be there..acha what is the tentative date that is given by the Doctor.", Cabir gleefully shared Manik's happiness as they walked out of the lounge of AURA.

"After 2 days...yes Cabir after 2 two I will have my baby in my arms...I am so excited", Manik's head bounced in vigor.

"But then you should be with Nandini now..she might need you anytime."

"Yeah I know man. Had it not been for the meeting I wouldn't have come..she is not doing well these days..it is really difficult for her..she has got awfully cranky, snaps at every small thing but then the Doctor says it is natural she is having a tough time with the days nearing but all this pain will be gone in 2 two days", Manik had mixed feeling on one hand he was happy about the baby but on the other hand my condition was worrying him.

Cabir nodded to agree with him. But he was happy to see his friend as a loving and responsible family man. Suddenly Manik's phone rang and he looked worried at the name flashing on the display screen. It was an expected reaction as the call was from his Mom. He fidgeted a bit and took the call.

"Where the hell are you Manik?? Why was your phone busy?? I have been trying to call you since the last twenty minutes", she yelled on the phone from the other side the moment Manik had received it. The urgency in her voice was an indication to Manik that it was about me.

"Is Nandini okay??"

"Her water broke...she is having her labors..I am rushing her to the city hospital in Bandra...come fast."

Manik's brain alarmed in a split second, he was confused to begin with because my date was after two days but he then it sunk in him that I was going to have the baby today itself.

"Cabir.. Nandini is going to have the baby today", Manik looked completely lost. He was not prepared and didn't know how to go about it.

"Then what are we wating for ...lets rush", Cabir shook Manik's shoulders to hurry up.

"Wait I need to get my handy cam..I had promised Nandini that I will record the moment."

Manik ran to his cabin and took the camcorder and rushed to the hospital with Cabir. He almost flew the car through the roads, to his stars the roads were pretty clear. They reached the hospital in the next 15 minutes.

"Where is Nandini?? Is she okay??"

"She is in the labor room...she is in a lot of pain but still she is insisting for a normal delivery..the doctors are helpless you have to take the call.", Mom looked worried at the situation and my temperament.

It was almost bomb after bomb for Manik. No matter how much practice you have done but then in the time for real action goof ups are bound to happen. It was the first time for Manik too and he was expected to take major decisions. He looked like a scared puppy at that time but he had to put up a strong face, without much delay he came to me while Cabir and his Mom waited outside. I was wincing in pain, my fists clenched the bed sheet tight and I just screamed as loud as my lungs allowed. The moment Manik entered and saw me like that he lost the remaining amount of confidence.

Although he himself wanted to be with me during the delivery but most definitely he didn't have an idea it was going to be this difficult. Hospitals are as such not a nice place to be and upon that the grim surrounding and wailing me, shuddered him further. The doctor approached him to handle me because I was getting difficult to control.
