Chapter 33- Uncle Remus

Chapter 33

I stepped into the kitchen, and Harry enveloped me in a hug, knocking me back slightly. I laughed,

“Merry Christmas Harry! Thank you for my present.”

He pulled away, looking slightly embarrassed that he’d been so keen to hug his older sister. I ruffled his hair, and he grinned,

“Thank you for mine! We can fill it up with photos taken from Sirius’ new camera!”

I pulled out a chair next to Fred and sat down,

“That was the general idea.”

Sirius looked over at me,

“Thank you, Ava. How are you enjoying your Christmas so far?”

I glanced down at the lion on my charm bracelet,

“Very well, thanks Sirius.”

Fred draped his arm over my shoulders,

“Ava here is quite the gift giver. She should give them out more often.”

I wacked his arm.

Ginny was frowning at the table,

“Ava… did you get the camera and photo album in the same shop?”

I nodded, confused,

“Why?”

She looked up thoughtfully,

“I thought I saw a girl who looked like you talking to Malfoy in a shop. I didn’t realise it was you, but if you got the camera and photo album in-”

I interrupted her,

“I bumped into him, but it wasn’t too long before I told him to leave me alone.”

“Are you sure? He was there for a while.”

I looked down at my lap,

“Ginny, just forget Draco for today, will you? He was being rude and I dealt with it.”

Fred chuckled,

“I wonder if Malfoy actually buys any gifts for people, or if he just likes to receive them.”
