Cam's POV

I look around the barren hallway, the lighting was very dim with sounds of nothing filling the place. I watch and see as Christian steps through the door from the previous area and looks around as well. "I guess it's a bit early for a high school reunion," Christian asks with a smile.

I roll my eyes at his comment and begin to walk around with him following me. "This was actually my middle school hallway," I state. The cold silence and eerie lighting made this place very unnerving, but I shrugged it off.

I start to try and open some of the doors that I remembered went to some of my classes in high school. However, they stayed locked. I peered through one of the doors to see nothing but darkness. Behind this door was just an empty void. I looked through some of the other doors to confirm they were all the same. I then decided to try and go to the upper floors, but as I walked, I was met by an invisible wall. I fell to the ground, rubbing my nose from the light impact. "Ugh, why is there an invisible wall," I ask.

"I guess the object that creates this memory is somewhere here," Christian answers.

"How, all the rooms here are practically black holes," I state.

"When I said here, I meant the hallway. Maybe it's in the hallway," Christian retorts.

"Fine," I say. I turn and start looking more closely. I occasionally tried opening some of the lockers, but they were no good. I was about to sit down in the floor to try and remember why this place was significant to me, when I walk upon the middle school's trophy case. The case was filled with 2nd and 3rd place trophies, but what caught my eye was a large trophy with a picture beside it. The trophy's plague read, "1st Place Middle School Championship". The trophy was from first time the school won first place at something. I look over at the picture to see the people who were on the team during that time. There was a small plague on the picture frame that read off the members on the team and the coaches. However, I was stuck on part in the plague. It read, "Cameron "Dallas" Elder: MVP".

"MVP," I question. "I don't remember playing football, I hated it."

"You did. Dallas loved it though," Christian responds. "This was early on when Dallas took control."

I touch the glass separating me from the trophies. Suddenly, the trophy began to emit an orange light. The light began to glow brighter along with the sound with lockers banging. I cover my ears and close my eyes to avoid the blinding light and to muffle the banging. I reopen my eyes to see I'm on the opposite side of the trophy case to see myself in front it. I stared at him in confusion. "Is that me," I ask.

"Technically," Christian says. "It's your body, but Dallas has taken over during this."

The bell to dismiss students to their next class rang, causing me to jump. I look around to see students filling the hallway. Some were walking at a steady pace, some sluggishly walked around, and some sped through the crowd. One person in particular was rushing through and looked to be Ricky. I watch as he runs through, but falls short when he runs into Dallas. They both go crashing to the ground with a thud.

"Hey watch where you're going," Dallas said. "Oh, it's you. Hello Ricky. You ready for your daily beating?"

"Not today. We're going to be late for class," Ricky pleads.

"One tardy won't be that bad," Dallas combats. As he says this, Ricky makes a dash to his next class. However, after only taken a few steps, Dallas grabs him and slings him into a locker. Kids crowd around the occurrence and start cheering. I was about to intervene, but Christian grabbed my shoulder and shook his head. I nodded in understanding and watched as Dallas kicked and punched Ricky, as Ricky's body kept bouncing off the lockers from each punch. Ricky fell to the floor and a few more students joined Dallas in beating him up. Out of nowhere, a student comes rushing out of one of the classrooms to save Ricky from being beaten. That student, was Kian.
