Kian’s POV

As we sat in the plane underwater, everyone was taking the situation in different ways. Some people were completely calm. Others were curled up in a ball in their seats either with shocked expressions on their faces or tears streaming down their cheeks.

The pilot of the plane walks out and everyone goes silent. “Ladies and gentlemen, I have good news and bad news,” he says. “The good news is that before we crashed, I was able to get a message out to have someone rescue us. Also, thankfully, the lake isn’t too deep that the plane will collapse due to the pressure. However, our location is fairly far out from a town, so it’ll be awhile until they get here. If everyone can remain calm and patient will be out of here in no time.

“So, you expect us to just sit here and act like everything is fine when outside his plane we are in is surrounded by water,” a male passenger says with an angry tone as he stands up to look to the pilot in the eyes. “Well, this is exactly how I wanted to spend my day.”

“Yes, that’s exactly what I expect,” the pilot says. “I’m sorry about your situation, but we’re in it and there’s nothing we can do to change that. So, sit down and calm down. Help will arrive as soon as they can.”

The pilot then leaves along with some of the stewardesses. Several of the passengers groan in aggravation, but they complied with the pilot’s orders. I look over and see that Ricky has finally calmed down along with Joey and Cat after their abrupt awakening. “Are you okay,” I ask Ricky.

“A little shaken up, but I’ll be fine,” Ricky says.

“I’m going to go check on Connor, Joey, Cat, and Doug,” I say.

            “Okay,” Ricky says.

I walk over to them and ask, “How are you all holding up?”

“We’re fine,” Connor says. “But, Doug has forever sworn off planes from here on out.”

Everything stayed quiet for a while until the angered passenger that talked to the pilot started up again. “I can’t stand being on this plane anymore,” he says. “That pilot up there doesn’t know what is going on.”

“Sir, you need to calm down,” I say.

“Why should I,” he says. “We’re trapped down here and there’s nothing we can do about it.”

“Sir, all you’re doing is scaring the other passengers,” I say.

“I don’t care about these people,” he says. “Do you know who I am? I’m the richest man on this plane!”

He gets up in my face and I could smell the distinct smell of alcohol on his breath and it was strong. “Sir, you’re drunk, you need to sit down,” I say.
