Connor’s POV

As I look out the window of the plane I’m in, heading to Los Angeles, I see that it is a bright and sunny day. I think to myself, “Wow! I can’t believe I’m going to get to live here.” This is the first time I’ll be completely on my own. Looking at the seat beside me, I thought, “I love that the guy who was supposed to sit here, cancelled at the last minute.” I hate having people sit beside me, especially if they try and start up a conversation with me, when I clearly don’t want to talk. Oh, I forgot to introduce you to myself, my name is Connor Franta, just your average 18 year old teenager from Minnesota trying to make it big on Youtube. I have brownish blonde hair and green eyes. Convincing my parents to let me move to LA instead of going to Saint John’s University in Queens, New York took a lot of persuasion. So, they bought my plane ticket and gave me enough money to live for two months.

“Please fasten your seatbelts as we begin to land,” the pilot announced on the intercom. I quickly fasten my seatbelt. I kept missing the seatbelt buckle because I was too excited to finally be here. I had always dreamed of living here in LA. Finally, I got myself buckled in and just in time to because the plane was getting ready to descend. As the plane lands, I get shaken a bit from the rough landing, but I didn’t care.

The flight attendant unbuckles her seatbelt and announces over the intercom, “Ladies and gentlemen, we have arrived in Los Angeles.” “Please gather your things and exit the plane here and there,” she says as she gestures to the locations.

I make a giant smile after she says that and I instantly unbuckle my seatbelt and jump up to grab my stuff above me. I quickly rush out of the plane before the rest of passengers can get in my way. I head to the luggage carousel to get my suitcase. As several suitcases come bursting out on the luggage carousel, I see my two large, black and blue suitcases. I walk over to it and picked it up.

I walk out of the airport to see my new adventure that I can’t wait to start. It was probably around midday. I looked to the sky to see the sun high in the sky. Feeling the sunshine on my face, I knew that this was going to be great. I wave down a taxi, my parents are shipping my baby and it’ll be here in a few days. I could never remember the name of the place of where I was staying so I wrote it down and gave the driver the paper. He grabs the paper looks at it and nods his head, never making a sound. The drive took about 30 minutes, but I didn’t care. I got to take a long look at my new home. It would’ve been quicker, but traffic was a mess. There were several moments where the traffic was at a standstill.

The taxi pulls up to this beige house and my eyes slowly widen in anticipation to see the inside of my new house. I hand the taxi driver the money for the ride. I grab my stuff, leave the vehicle, and head to my house. I pull out the key that was in my pocket and unlock the door. I open the door to find and very nice and clean house. Hhhmmm, I wonder how long that’ll last. I close the door and lay my suitcase down and begin exploring the house. I walk into the kitchen and open the fridge and see there is no food in the fridge. I better go get some food tomorrow. I look inside the cabinets and find some plates and cups. Well at least I don’t have to buy that, that’s good. I go to the next room which seems to be the living room. There were only a couch and two side tables. My parents will also be sending over my TV. I walk down the hall that connects to the living room. There were two doors on the right wall and two on the left. The first door on the left was an average sized bathroom. The second door on the left held a small closet. The first door on the right had a spare bedroom. The second door on the right was another closet. At the end of the hall, there was one more door. I open it to find a huge open room with a glass wall on the left that led out into the backyard. I then headed upstairs where there were a few more rooms. They were mostly more closets and spare rooms. I then enter the last room to find a huge bed with white sheets and a white comforter. I look at the time on my watch and see that it’s only 4 pm. I think, “Why don’t I go now and get some supplies. The grocery store is only a 10 minute walk.” However, as soon I think this, a thunderstorm that came out of nowhere starts and it looked bad. Well that plan is shot. I decide to hang around the house until the rained stopped.

Suddenly, I hear a knock at the front door downstairs. I thought, “Who could that possibly be? I don’t anyone here.” I hear knocking at the door again. I quickly walk down to the front door. I open the door to find…..
