HEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm back!!! I have a whole bunch of updates ready for you. The question is whether I post them all today, or post some today and the rest tomorrow. Anywho I'm not gunna keep ya any longer. Let's get this update party started!!!
------------------------------------------------------------
We sat surrounded by silence for I don't know how long, as I struggled to stay awake. My body making it impossible as it was physically and emotionally drained from the events of the day. My eyes shutting of their own accord as the world went black.
Sometime later I woke up to find myself back in my own bed with a heavy weight laying on top of my stomach. Dax must have carried me home and put me to bed.
As my vision cleared it brought with it the sight of a miniature version of Serina curled up on my stomach sleeping with smoke billowing out of her nostrils. A smile makes an appearance on my face as I run a hand down her smooth scales, a light shiver coursing through her small body at my actions. Though reality soon came crashing down on me as I remember Camron's betrayal, cutting deep into my freshly wounded heart anew.
Tears springing up all over again as a sob wracked through my frame. Covering my eyes with my hands as if it would help while I laid back against my pillows, wallowing in my misery. I was such a fool. I should have seen this coming, yet I tricked myself into thinking that he had actually loved me.
I must have awoken Serina from all of my noise for she moved sometime later. Moving to crawl further up onto my chest, curling into a ball and while purring. Trying to comfort me. "It was simply not meant to be if he betrayed you, dear one. Don't let this affect you. In time you will find love again."
"I thought he had actually truly loved me!" Wailing through our mental connection.
"You will know when it is true and actual love. For you will feel it in the deepest depths of your very soul. You and your destined one will complete and complement one another. Almost like our bond but different." Serina blinked her sleepy amethyst eyes.
"But I don't know how to go on, Serina. Isn't that pathetic?"
"You take one day at a time. Just like before he had entered into your life. Stay strong, dear one. This incident will cause you to become much stronger. The best kind of revenge you can get on the person who hurt you is to show them that you can survive without them." Smoke still lightly billowing out from her nostrils, her head cocked slightly to the side.
"Um, Serina, why exactly are you out of hiding? Not to be rude or anything. I was just wondering."
"I needed to stretch my wings." As if she were proving a point to me she let out a dragon yawn and stretched her body out much like a cat would along with stretching out her wings as far they would go in her tiny form.
"Just be careful okay? I don't want us to be separated so soon after being united." Lightly whispering. I don't think I could actually survive if Serina and I were separated from one another.
Serina's tongue darted out to swipe against my cheek, in what I am guessing was supposed to be a comforting gesture as she removed the trace of tears upon me cheeks. "Don't worry Avian. Now that we are bonded we will always be able to find each other." Her head snapped up suddenly to glare at the door. "Someone is coming." As I blinked Serina disappeared from her spot, though by the cool feeling along my arm I knew she had formed back into her armlet camouflage.
Not a second later Bao barged into my room without so much as curtesy knock on my door, as a polite gentleman would do. "What are you doing here?" Fully intending to sound harsh.
