Chapter 41 (Arabella's Stone)

Aria's POV

"Isn't this just too much to handle?"

"No, they should do it, for their own sakes. They should do it to show the world that they're worth their positions. Well, it is agreed to show them off. And of course it would be a disgrace if they won't be our first choice since they're our heirs."

"I beg your pardon, but we did not do this to show off our sons and daughter. If I would be the one talking, I won't let my daughter do this mission, it's too risky."

"Huh, just say you know they can't do it."

"Mr. McIntosh. You are insulting our sons."

At nagsimula na ngang magbangayan. 'Yan ang eksena sa loob ng council room ngayon. They're talking about the royalties' mission of finding Arabella's descendant and her stone. This is a headache.

"It would be better if they have already proven something to us, then mapapanatag na ang kalooban namin dito. This is too good for them, and too bad for our dimension. At kung anuman ang mangyari sa mga heir ng kingdoms natin, this would turn out as an insult for the ones who decided, for us. Ha! Mas mabuti ng maghugas ako ng kamay dito. This is most likely a disgrace!" Usal ng isang council member na si Prince Cavalier ng Ice Department.

"Excuse me, but we decided this last week, at hindi lang kami. It was majority of our votes to let them do this. So don't dare put the blame on someone if this won't work." Naiiritang tugon naman ng isa pang member na si Princess Atlanta ng Water Department.

"Are you trying to say, na mas pinapahalagahan mo ang kung anuman ang iisipin ng lipunan natin sa kung anuman ang maging resulta nito? How dare you Cavalier! Paano naman ang kaligtasan ng mga anak namin? And it was clearly a majority when we came up with this discussion last week!" Nawalan na ng poise si Queen Cast ng Air Department, mom ni Matt. Napapailing nalang ako dito.

"Why are we arguing about this anyway? At kung makapanghusga kayo sa mga anak namin, parang may nagawa na kayo sa gaanong mga edad nila ah. And don't you dare put the blame on us! Kami ang mga magulang nila, I didn't even voted for this. I disagreed, but you! You were the ones who badly want to make a move to get that stone because you knew that it's more powerful than we thought it is?! How dare you!" Madiin at halos pasigaw na sabi ni Queen Andrews ng Earth Department.

"Ha! Don't tell me, hindi niyo din ginusto ang nalaman niyo? You hypocrites! Huwag kayong magmalinis na hindi niyo ginusto ang nalaman nating kakayahan ng batong iyun!!" Sigaw na sabi ng asawa ni Prince McIntosh na taga Water Department.

Tumayo naman ang mag-asawang McIntosh at hinarap kaming lahat. Ako nga pala ang nasa pinakaibabaw na bahagi nitong council room. My table and chair is somehow higher than their grounds that's why I can see them clearly. Nasa gilid ko naman sila. Nakaupo sa harapan ng isang napakahabang lamesa. There are three long wooden tables here in the council room.

The two long wooden tables on each side of this big room is multiplied my two. The one on my left, the first until the middle part of the table is composed of the royalties from the Air Department, including their king and queen. From the middle part of the table until the end is from the Water Department with their king and queen also. Same goes with the other table on my right. The first kingdom that occupies the space is the Earth Department, then the rest goes to the Ice Department.
