"He what?"
"He uses colors to express his emotions."
This time, PJ was the one to give me a strange look. "What do you mean?" He questioned, clearly not understanding.
I sighed deeply, turning back around. "Hey Phil!" I called to the boy. He looked up sharply, his eyes widening behind his glasses. "Yeah?" He responded.
"How are you today?"
"Yellow."
PJ covered his mouth with his hand, trying to hold back his laughter. I pressed my lips together before returning to Phil. "What does yellow mean?"
"It means happy. I was a little purple earlier, but now I'm yellow." He told us. Phil stared at me for a little bit before sticking his nose back in his book and walking to the other side of the cafeteria.
Once he was a safe distance away, PJ burst out laughing. "Oh God.." He said between breaths, wiping the imaginary tears from his eyes.
"I told you! Pick another boy." I groaned, twirling my bottle of water on the table.
"Nope!" PJ teased, looking over my shoulder at what I expected was color boy. "Phil Lester."
"Jesus..." I shook my head.
"You haven't even given him a shot!" PJ pointed out, glancing back at me. "Go and have a real conversation with him!" He instructed, smiling widely as I stood up.
"Fine. But don't expect me to fall in love with him."
