Cal's POV

They were all staring at me, confused. It was a little disturbing. Jack opened his mouth and shut it.

Hallie looked at him and then me. "Well I knew you were gorgeous but I didn't think little girls would ask

for your autograph." I rolled my eyes and finally sat down. Jack finally asked, "So... are you going to tell

us why they wanted your autograph or are we going to have to guess?" I shrugged. "Honestly guys, it's

not even that big of a deal." Hallie was staring at me with an expectant expression, Jack's eyebrows

were raised, and Hunter looked bored since the attention wasn't on him. I started to explain when the

waiter came back with our food. He set it down and I waited until he left. "You guys ever watch that

Youtube video of that little girl, about 10 years old, singing Since You've Been Gone? She got like, 500

million hits and she performed on Ellen? She starred in Zoey 101 and Drake and Josh?" They all

nodded. Hallie was smiling, "That little girl was so cute! Well she was my age at the time, so... I guess I

can't say that. I wonder what happened to her. Wow, she would be our age now wouldn't - " She

stopped and looked at me. I knew she guessed it.

Jack was waiting for her to go on. "NO!" she whisper yelled. I nodded, trying not to smile. Jack still

looked confused. Hallie slapped his arm. "Hey dumbo, that was Cal." He sat there for a minute soaking

it in. He finally looked at me and grinned. "My best friend is famous?" I punched his arm. "Of course not

dummy. After I was on the shows, I refused any other offers and went off the map. I changed so much

since then that no one's recognized me until now. I guess those little girls recognized me from one of

the reruns of Zoey 101 or Drake and Josh. Huh. Those girls are smarter than half the population." Jack

was still grinning and then frowned. "Wait a minute, I used to have a crush on that little girl. Dang it." I

laughed and then said, "Wait, why dang it?" "Cause now I know she's my best friend." I nodded but was

relieved. Okay, so he doesn't like me. Good, now our friendship can remain normal. There was a twinge

of something though, it was... disappointment?

Jack's POV

After Cal told us that she was the little girl on Youtube, we began teasing her, saying she was famous.

She protested saying that it was only a couple shows. Really Cal? She got 500 million hits, performed

on Ellen and starred on two major TV shows. Yeah Cal, thats not that big of a deal at all, I thought. I

really did used to have a crush on that little girl. I thought we were going to somehow meet in the future

and I would immediantly recognize her and we were going to be together... guess that didn't happen.

Anyway, after our expensive meal, I drove Cal home. I opened her door and we walked to the front of

her house. "Hey, don't forget about tomorrow. I'm coming to get you at 11:00 so we get there early. It's

going to get crowded." She jumped up and down, obviously excited. Gosh, she was perfect. She

hugged me and ran inside. Our friends and I had gotten her One Direction tickets for an early birthday

present. We all pitched in to get VIP passes, which she had no idea about. We were going to meet

them. The reason I was going was because the rest of our friends don't really like One Direction, well,

neither do I but I was happy to go with her. They all pitched in for two tickets and VIP passes and

decided I should go. This was going to be interesting.

The next morning, I drove to Cal's and waited in her driveway. She didn't walk out and it was 11:08, it

wasn't like Cal to be late. I walked inside and her brother pointed upstairs to where music was blaring. I

grinned at him and started to walk up the stairs. I could tell she was playing More Than This (I did my

research so I wouldn't be lost at the concert) and she was singing along. I stopped walking when I

heard her voice clearly. She was harmonizing with the music and it sounded amazing. I knocked on her

door and there was no response. The music was too loud. Hope she's decent, I thought. I cracked open

the door to see her standing in her sports bra and shorts, holding up two outfits. I laughed to myself,

knowing she wouldn't mind me seeing her like this, since she runs every morning in the same outfit. I

pushed the door open and snuck up behind her. I grabbed her and ducked, just in time. She swung her

arm around and almost hit me. I had learned the hard way that you'd better be prepared when you

scare Cal. She saw me and laughed. "Geez, you goob. I about punched your face." I winked. "Wouldn't

be the first time." She laughed also and held up the outfits and turned down the music. "I'm sorry, I didn't

know what time it was. Which one?" I looked at them and squinted. "Hmmm... I like both. But..." I

continued, Cal hated it when I didn't make a decision, "I like that one better." I pointed to a red dress.

She looked at it and pursed her lips. "Guess I'm going with the other one." I looked at her with my mouth

open. "Wha - Why? I like that one." She laughed and said, "Yeah but the other one looks better for a

concert and it's the same outfit Ariana Grande wore to a photo shoot." I shook my head and stood there

as she went into the bathroom to change.

When she came out, I smiled. "You're right. I like that one better now." She blushed and looked down.

She was wearing, what she said was a "halter lace bandeau top" and a light green flowy skirt. The

badeau showed about an inch of her tan stomache and abs. Her hair was down and wavy. She pulled

on white vans and grabbed a big sweater. I used a girly voice and said, "Omg Cal. It's past Labor Day,

you can't wear white!" She laughed and narrowed her eyes playfully. "Well I'm a rebel." I laughed

because of the irony. Cal couldn't be a rebel if she was paid a million bucks. We said goodbye to her

parents and got in the car. I dug around in my car and pulled out the VIP passes. I waited until she

looked at me and I held them up. She stared at them for 5 seconds and screamed.
