Kelley was really nervous.

All afternoon, while she was spending time with some of the girls staying at the hotel, she couldn't think about anything else than the date Allie has settled. They were leaving in ten, and the Georgia girl was freaking out in her room. Christen, who is the only person aware of the current situation - or, at least, the only person Kelley told about her and Allie's kinda date - was sitting on her bed, looking at her, sighing. She got up, picked up a dress for her friend, and threw it right in her face. Kelley's eyes went wide ; she never wears fancy and chic things. This dress was pure perfection : tight, black, with apertures on its side. It was rather short, but really glamour. She pulled a part of her hair behind her head, leaving the rest hanging. She was wearing makeup for the first time this year - she usually was in natural - and it looked so stunning that Christen had her mouth opened.

- Dude, you look very good, the dark-haired girl let out. I think Allie will have trouble resisting your charms tonight.

- What can I say ? I have a great stylist, Kelley said jokingly, before going back to serious. Thank you, you're my savior.

- I know.

They hugged, and Kelley put a last jet of parfume and looked at her friend while she was exciting the room. Her hands were clammy, while her heart was beating very fast on her chest. She knew tonight was special. It was her and Allie's first date - even though the blonde will never admit that it is a real date.

Allie knocked on the door two minutes after Kelley got ready. When she saw the light brunette, her jaw seemed to fall, and her eyes had an expression on the that Kelley had never seen yet : it was a flash of desire, that the blonde quickly hid. Allie had lift her game as well : she was in a tunic glued to her body, also black, and beautiful heels. She had put a black mascara on, and her eyes were even more blue than usual. Kelley felt lost in them for a second, before coming back to reality when she realized how close they were standing from each other.

- You look beyond beautiful, Kels, Allie said, carefully untying every syllabe.

Her voice was deeper than usual, and Kelley immediately knew it was because they were just inches away from each other.

- You're not bad yourself, Kelley said slowly.

Realizing that they were still standing in the doorway, Allie coughed, which incited her to grab her things and follow the blonde through the corridor, all the was to the car. She was driving, so Kelley had the opportunity to look at her without her noticing. She couldn't believe she was going on a date with such a lovely girl.

They arrived at a quiet spot. It was a small restaurent on the beach. They removed their shoes, walking in the sand caressing their feet. Kelley unconsciously grabbed Allie's hand, and the blonde didn't dare to look down at her friend. Allie had ordered a table near the water. It was lightened by little lamps buried on the sand, along with candles. Damn, she took it very seriously, Kelley thought, in awe of the dream spot for a date that Allie had found. She couldn't help but think that she found that for her, Kelley O'Hara, Georgia girl, squirrel lover. They sat down, looking in each other's eyes for a while.

The waiter came back to take their order. Kelley went with curry shrimps, while Allie opted for a simple mixed salad. The waiter left them alone, and Allie couldn't help but laugh at how cute Kelley was right now. The brunette had heart eyes, and she didn't know if it was because of the place they were of because of her.

They ate in silence. Kelley was sometimes speaking about soccer, and then about her family that was going to visit her one day in the coming week. Allie was thoughtful. She didn't want Kelley to feel frustrated or anything, but she couldn't pretend anymore.

- Not to be a party pooper, but we have to go back to the hotel pretty soon because of training tomorrow, she said painfully.

She could've spent the whole night listening to what Kelley was saying ; looking at her moving mouth, and at her excited eyes. The girl seemed disappointed, but understood that Allie was right. They thanked the waited and started heading back to the car.

But Allie's hand reached Kelley's, pulling her closer. Their bodies were nearly touching, and so were their mouths. Allie closed the gap between them, pressing her lips against Kelley's. The brunette didn't kiss back, so Allie took a step back. Her cheeks never were so red. God, she's so cute and innocent when she shows weakness, Kelley thought. But right now, Allie didn't understand why Kelley was acting the way she was.

In order to comfort her, Kelley took her hands in hers.

- Al, I don't want to force you do anything, she started, her heart beating in her chest.

Allie tried to control herself from running away from the short girl. Seeing the pain on Allie's face, Kelley went on :

- I think you're the one for me, Allie. I mean, we just fit perfectly, and when we're together, time seems to stop. I don't want to pretend that I don't feel anything for you anymore, because that's just a waste of time. I wanna be with you. I wanna be yours.

It was now a shocked expression on the midfielder's face. She hates commitment.

- I am nothing like the people you've known in the past, Al. I will never hurt you. You can trust me, even though I seem a little childish sometimes... What we have is real, and I don't wanna pretend otherwise.

Still no words from Allie. Her face was now neutral, and it was a bad sign. Kelley was freaking out right now.

- Or, if you don't wanna do this, I can simply give you space and time and w-whatever you need, and-

Allie kissed her again. This time, Kelley kissed her back, and their lips seemed to fit perfectly. She felt safe and loved in her arms. They pulled away, and Allie's eyes were still closed when she whispered :

- I'm not ready.

Kelley's world seemed to fall apart. She put her hands on the blonde's cheeks, caressing her slowly. She saw a tear on Allie's eye.

- I'm sorry, Kelley, I can't be the person you want me to be. Not now.

Those words sounded familiar. Kelley removed her hands sharply, and started walking to the car. The way back to the hotel was rocked by a deathly silence. Not now.
