Camp was nearly over. Only a two months remained before the Olympics. In the end of the week, the girls would go home, enjoying an "off-season", training on their own, recovering in order to be in their best shape for the kick-off game.

Ash was pretty happy to go home in the end of the week. She'd fly back to Orlando with her daughter and Alex, and enjoy some family time only. She didn't have the courage to ask Ali to come with her, since the brunette barely talked to her. There was some hope, because whenever Maisie was around, the defender couldn't help but play with her. Maisie already told her mom that Ali was one of her favorite aunties, along with Hope. Ash saw in Ali's eyes some kind of light : she missed her. But the goalkeeper didn't want to ask right away.

She sat next to Whitney on the bench. The Olympics was their dream, ever since they played together in college. The defender had improved so much it was unbelievable. Ash was very proud of her, and didn't feel the urge to tell her ; Whit already knew.

- You already know what you'll do about Ali ? she asked with her innocent voice.

- I dunno, Ash said, looking at Maisie playing with some toy. I don't wanna rush.

Whit nodded. She knew relationships were complicated, especially with a secret such as Ash's. Having a secret daughter didn't help at all.

- I'm scared to loose her, Ash added.

- I know, Whit said, wrapping her arm against her shoulders. But you have to ask her, otherwise you'll regret it all your life. You can't let her go without a fight, we both know that.

- Yah.

Ash was totally lost.

The Rookies were sitting on the grass, far away from their other teammates. Lindsey was exhausted because of a sleepless night, and when she is tired, she says stupid things. Yes, even more than she usually does.

- Guys, I'm sad the camp is ending, Moe said, really disappointed. I know there will be many more, but I don't wanna go home.

They all nodded in agreement. Kristie, who just came here like two days ago, was the most frustrated. She knew she was a late call-up and was very happy about it, but she'd have wanted to spend more time with her friends, especially with her sister, that she didn't get to see very often. The person she was spending the more time with was Steph. The brunette was her ride or die, and she was trying her best to push strange thoughts she had about her away.

On the other hand, Emily seemed to be relieve to go home.

- I miss Portland, though, she let out. Like, the whole atmosphere, my roommate...

- Your roommate ? Sam immediately asked.

- Yah, she's one of my teammates..., Emily slowly said. Everything's okay ?

All eyes were fixed on the blonde, who visibly was standing awkwardly. Her eyes were doing back and forth between Emily and the ground. Kristie knew that look : her sister was feeling uneasy. She just didn't know why, but it had to be about Sonnett.

- Yeah, yeah..., Sam said before looking up. I just thought you were living alone. Who is she ?

- Uhm, Dagny..., Sonnett said, not sure where the conversation was heading.

- Are you guys a thing ? Like romantically involved ?

Kristie knew her sister was being very awkward and out of line sometimes, but she's never seen her act this way. She knew then what it was about. Emily frowned, not really sure what to answer.

- Uhm..., she let out. What if I say yes ?

Sam's eyes went wide. She then blushed and had anger in her eyes. Steph saw that too, and looked at her best friend. They silently agreed : Sam's voice and look were filled with jealousy. But the real question was why ? Sam didn't date a lot of people. There was this one guy during high school for three years, but that was about it. She's always had a crush on males, but not on females. Kristie was kinda shocked, but the idea of Sam liking Emily didn't seem so impossible.

The silence was cut off by Sam herself :

- I guess I just wanted to know.

- We aren't a thing, Emily announced.

There was some relief on Sam's side. Her sister tried to caught eyes with her, but Sam was very good in looking down at her feet.

- So who's that girl you like ? Lindsey asked.

- I can't tell you now, Emily said. I have to keep it a secret, sorry guys.

Kristie and Steph looked at each other frowned. Something definitely was going on between her sister and Sonnett.

- C'mon Em, you can do better ! Moe exclaimed. We are your friends ! You gotta tell us !

- Sorry I can't, she responded in a colder tone.

Moe faked crying, and the atmosphere was relaxed again. Kristie couldn't help but smile at how cute and awkward her sister was whenever Emily was around. How didn't I see that before ? She asked herself. She knew Sam by heart, but wasn't even able to tell if she had a crush on their friend.

After a long conversation about the Euro in France, the girls called it a night. Back in their room, Sam and Sonnett opted for a complete silence while getting ready to go to bed. When Emily took her T-shirt off, she felt Sam's gaze on her neck and turned to face her. The blonde nearly chocked on her saliva and literally ran to the bathroom

Weird, Emily thought. When her phone rang, she immediately looked at the screen. It was a message from Kristie, which she opened. Her eyes went wide as she read :

Seems like my sister likes you, Sonnett. If you hurt her, it'll be mine and Steph's pleasure to burry your body in my garden.
Love ya.
