---THE AUTHORS NOTE IS NOW ON TOP SO YOU HAVE TO READ IT! :D----

Pretty clever huh? I know (; Jk but anyway, I don't know how long this story will be, but it will be more than 20 chapters...maybe...or I might make a sequel and write a new story (: no one seems to be reading this anymore but, I don't know. What do you think? Hmm..what to do, what to do.... SO!

The choices are

1.) More than 20 chapters and just one book

2.) 20-22 chapters and a sequel with a new book

3.) throw it all out and start with a new book

Comment, like, vote, fan (; Sorry if this is a slow, sucky chapter but I had homework and NEEDED to upload!! I think more will be up later tonight or tomorrow...stay tuned (: KK! thanks for your time and please enjoy Part 17 of "Not What It Seems" :) xxx

"Jason!" I screamed. "Why did you shut the door?!"

"We need to talk," He said, stepping toward me.

"OH MY GOD! DO YOU REALIZE THE DOOR LOCKS FROM THE OUTSIDE?!" I was yelling, screaming, and frantically jumping up and down.

"Good," Jason said. "Now you can't leave me until I'm done talking."

I sighed and walked over to the teacher's desk, taking a seat and waiting for him to begin. When he didn't, I decided to ask a few questions of my own.

"What happened to your eye?" I asked, studying it.

Jason sighed and looked me in the eyes. "I got punched for defending you."

I gasped in shock and horror. Why would Jason do that for me? It's not like he likes me. But even if he did, no guy in a million years would ever take a hit for me. That I was sure of.

I hopped of the desk and walked over to where he stood. I gently lifted my hand and touched his swollen eye. He winced from the pain and I moved my hand to his hair, stroking it.

Jason stared right into my eyes. We didn't talk for a while, just looked at each other. Until Jason finally spoke, and God, I wish he wouldn't have.

"I miss you, Kayleigh."

I sighed, bring my hand to my side and walking back over to the teacher's desk. I sat back on it and streached my legs out in front of me. Jason walked over and spread my legs apart, standing between them and pushing our bodies together.

"Jason, what you did is unforgivable in my eyes," I began. "But the fact that you took a black eye for me, and you showed up here tonight, I feel like you deserve a second chance. But, I don't know if your apologizing because you want a second chance with me, or with getting those files."

"But-" Jason started. I cut him off.

"I just don't know what to believe and who to trust anymore." I said.

"Kayleigh, I love you."

I didn't have anything to say to that.

"I love you," He continued. "And I want to have a second chance with you. Just give me that, and I promise you won't regret it. You don't know how badly I've been hurting since what happened. I saved you from dying the other day and I still don't feel like that's enough."

"Wait!" I jumped in. "You saved me?" He nodded.

"Jason," I said. "I'll give you a second chance. But that's it. Don't blow this."
