((CONFESSION TIME!!))

Keith found a note on his door, written in an elegant scrawl.

Hello Boots!
Storage room approximately sixty feet from the door of my bedroom. Meet me there.
Hugs,
~Azalea V. Korraine

Keith looked forward to finding out the truth about Azalea. Every time she was in the room, he kept a close eye on her. He made sure she didn't pull anything.

He noted a lot of things too. She used her boots every day, but she didn't use her gravity manipulating gift unless it was absolutely needed. She physically picked up things, instead of using her powers.

Her face always smiled, but Keith learned that her emotions show in her eyes.
Her wide, dark, inquisitive eyes that contrasted her round, pale face and toothy grin.

And how her lips pressed together when she was nervous.
And how fragile she looked whenever she was alone.
She was actually tall, even if she didn't have the boots on.

He observed that she walked with her shoulders out, and her arms swung fluidly at her sides.
How scared she looks whenever Lance points out that he was looking.

He wasn't staring.
Just observing the hybrid specimen.

But then Lance, the incredibly annoying idiot, starts a rumour that Keith liked Azalea.

He didn't like her. Not even close.

He was just wary of the Nightmare.

Keith remembered the way she talked about her sister at lunch.
She sounded as if she meant it, and maybe she did once.
But Azalea still killed Marina.

That changed nothing.
She was still dangerous.

He recalled Azalea's temper flare the night before. How bright her yellow eyes glowed, and how fast she moved. He also remembered his immobility.

Who knows what she can do?

She can't be trusted, that's for sure.

The red paladin followed Azalea's directions, and found a silver door that was the storage room. For that sector of the castle anyways. There were a lot of storage rooms.

Another note.

Be there in a tick.
Wait inside.
~Azalea V. Korraine

He walked in to find that the room was empty except for two boxes. Keith sat on one, feeling slightly claustrophobic in the small space.

He looked over at the other box, and saw Azalea's lavender-grey jacket carelessly tossed onto it.

The room smelled of flowers, and it was intoxicating.
Keith leaned against the wall.

And waited.

He knew exactly what to ask her.

~~~~~~~~~~
Azalea walked out of the bathroom, shaking a towel around her hair to dry it off.
She yawned, and strode to her bedroom door.
Hunk had kept her in the kitchen after dinner to help clean up. Azalea didn't mind of course.
Then she decided to take a shower before she hit the sack.
Azalea's gaze went from her door and drifted down the hall. A light came from under the doorway of the storage room.
The woman yawned again, rubbing her eyes.
Who could possibly be in there at this time of night?
Azalea's eyes flew open.
Keith.
She forgot him.
"Crap!", she muttered to herself. She had gotten so wrapped up with Hunk and her shower that she forgot her rendezvous with the dark haired man.
Crapcrapcrapcrapcrapcrapcrap.
He's surely going to tell on me now.
Just because I left him in the closet.
She sprinted down the hall, and flung open the door.
Keith was in there, sitting on one of the boxes, arms crossed.
And asleep.
Azalea inched closer, studying him.
His raven hair was messy, mostly in his face. He actually looked peaceful, not grouchy like when Azalea was usually this close to him.
He was actually cute when he was asleep.
I'm going to regret this forever, she thought.
She slowly reached up and poked his nose.
"Wake up!", she whispered loudly.
~~~~~~~~~~

"Wake up!"

Keith woke up with a finger pressed against his nose.

Azalea's face, literally inches from his, was bright with curiosity.
She backed up and sat down on the box opposite of his.
Her pale lips were pressed into a line, showing that she was nervous, but she still managed to give him a smile.

"Sorry for making you wait so long, Boots", she apologized.

He ran a hand through his hair.

I didn't even realize that I was asleep.
What is she wearing?

Azalea was wearing something completely different than her usual grey getup.
She wore a short sleeved purple shirt, exposing her long slender arms. Baggy sweatpants covered her legs. And her hair wasn't pulled back. It was slightly damp, and hung loosely past her shoulders.

He must've been staring.

"Are you okay?", Azalea asked, her head slightly cocked to one side.

"Yeah", he excused, "You just look different."

Azalea laughed, "Haven't you ever heard of pajamas?"

Have I ever seen her arms?
No, no one has. Or her neck either. She always wears that grey turtleneck sweater.
But why does she look so different?
Maybe it's because she's actually wearing a color other than grey.
She honestly doesn't look half bad in purple.
I think I'm delusional.

Azalea propped her boots up against the wall.
"So you wanted the truth? About me?"

Keith gave her a curt nod.

She sighed, "Ask your question then."

Keith had thought it out perfectly. One question that would make her have to tell him everything.

"What's your history?", he asked her.

MUAHAHAHA NOT YET!

The history of Azalea Korraine in great detail to soon come!

Sorry for the cliffhanger :3
