When I'm reading a book, sometimes I enjoy taking a look at the comments. Because the comments section is where all the drama happens fam

But one thing I don't like is when readers act like they're fucking better than the characters and so they like talk shit at the characters, do you get me?!

Like I don't mind comments like

"WHY DID WENDY DO THAT OH MA WORDDD SHE GONN DIE"

Or

"Jacob Jacobson is legit such an arsehole!"

Buutttttttt, what I can't stand is like for instance when the book is like "Quentin opened the door" and the comments explode with angry arse readers getting angry for no reason whatsoever:

WHAT THE FUCK QUENTIN LIKE WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU SUCH A DUMB IDIOT I MEAN EVEN I KNEW THAT YOU WEREN'T SUPPOSED TO OPEN THE FUCKING DOOR WHY ARE YOU SUCH AN IDIOT? UGH, I CAN'T HANDLE THIS BOOK LIKE UGH SO DUMB

Like if it's a joke as shown in the first examples, fine.

But when readers get legit proper pissed it's super annoying because it somehow seems like the reader is questioning the writer him/herself.

And I personally think that that's downright disrespectful right there, you don't talk shit at the characters like to that extent

The writer has written that character and has made that character do whatever he's done for a reason, and of course the character may do something silly for the sake of the plot, but it's really unnecessary for people to completely lose their shit

I mean it's great to see that people get so invested in the book

But just remember that there's a fine line between calling out the character and calling out the writer.

Like, stay in your lane, bitch.

That's the basic rule of driving school.
