Okay I'm done with these Wattpad stories where the main characters are in school, or college, but are always finding a way to fucking miss it
In college yea yea you can skip lectures, but there are some where attendance makes up part of your grade. (And also most of my college friends are like "don't you even think about missing class.") Because you fucking fail, that's how it happens
And I've read too many Wattpad books when people are in school and find a fucking way to skip it all the damn time
It just makes me want to ask the author, couldn't you have just changed the setting to summer or something stupid like that? Because you clearly don't want any of the action to happen in school
Top seven reasons Wattpad protagonists skip school
1. I feel so damn sick this morning but it's sick enough for me to walk to the bad boy's house to watch movies
2. My mum was feeling generous for the whole week
3. My new best friend/ boyfriend's father just handled it
4. I have an impromptu trip on my new beau's private jet and I convinced my parents I'd catch up on two weeks worth of schoolwork because it's not like I'm in my final high school years, they don't give any work and I'm so smart because I can catch up with everyone else while also doing the work I missed
5. Car accident/coma
6. I got stitches on my knee and the doctor said I can't go to school for seven weeks because of it
7. I just felt like it. Coz I'm the bad boy.
And it's like - what the fuck are your parents paying for then? It's just stupid as hell, you inconsiderate little protagonist, you aren't as cool as you bloody think, just go to class
Or writers, if you know that school is too much of a hassle to include in your story, then simply make it happen during the holiday. Because I'm tired of reading books where they're supposed to be in school and they always find a way to skip it, and somehow
(1) they aren't getting kicked out of it
(2) they finish with 100% in every fucking thing
Like what, were you holding a book over you while the bad boy was inside you??
Despicable.
