When I woke the next morning, I was still beside Reed. I glanced over at him.

He was staring at the ceiling, deep in thought.

"What are you thinking about?" I asked.

"Nothing." He looked at me, turning his face to mine. "Sleep okay?"

"Yeah. You?"

He nodded, turning back to the ceiling.

"Reed, what's on your mind?"

"Everything. Work, life--the works, really."

"Anything good coming from that?"

"You," he smiled, looking at me.

I reached up and gave him a sweet kiss. I pulled back and rested my head against his.

"Oh, my love," he sighed, wrapping an arm around my shoulders.

"I never want to leave this bed," I murmured, intertwining our fingers.

"Me neither," he whispered, kissing my head.

We laid there for a few minutes, neither of us speaking. We were quiet, not moving. We were enjoying being there, laying in one another's company. It was nice and calming.

Then, Reed's phone rang.

He turned and got it off the nightstand. He answered, "Robinson. Oh. Hey. Yeah, no, I'm fine. I'm doing well, really. Haha. No, much better than that time. A lot less pain. Mhm. Right. I'm just laying in bed. No, I've been up for a while. What time is it? Oh, eleven, really? Shit. I better get up then. Yeah, she's here. Seriously? Dude--I know. Yeah, I do. Yes, I have, but that doesn't mean you can say--It really doesn't though."

I turned to him. I rose a brow.

"I know I am." He glanced at me and puckered his lips.

I pressed my lips to his in a quick kiss, then I went to get up.

"Hey, hang on," he spoke. "Georgia, where are you going?"

"I'm going to go get ready."

"Why?"

"Because it's eleven o'clock."

He put a hand out to me.

"Reed, you need to take your pain medicine."

He ruffled his brows.

I slipped out of bed and slipped on Reed's shirt from the day before. "I'll be back."

He didn't say anything.

I started to leave the room.

"Peter, I'll call you back."

Not a second later, arms wrapped around my waist from behind.

I gasped. "Reed!"

"No, I don't need my medicine right now. Come back to bed."

"You're not giving me much choice."

He carried me to bed and laid me down. He went to his side and got on the bed. He turned to me and removed the shirt I'd put on.

I looked at Reed.

His eyes searched mine.

"What?" I asked.

"Nothing."

"Reed."

He laid back and turned to the ceiling. He put a hand to my inner thigh, holding my thigh. He let out a sigh.
