Power. A tool any leader would want to have on its hands. This is what they've always sought: Power to unleash their reign on innocent people. You, Y/N, had it since you were one of the strongest apprentices of the Ancient One. At her death, you immediately came back to Kamar -Taj in an attempt to catch the man responsible for her death and to give your help to Mordo and Wong to handle the temple. However, when you arrived at the temple, Dormammu had already been defeated by Doctor Strange and Mordo converging on a dark path. You activated your blue flaming portal thanks to your Mystical powers and landed in the training room of the temple. A man in a blue tunic and with a cloak resting heavily on his shoulders gasped at your arrival, dropping the cup of tea he was drinking. Your gaze fell on the stranger, observing him carefully.

" Who are you?" He asked, getting up slowly.

" My name is Y/N. I've been one of the apprentices of the Ancient One".

A wave of sadness fell on his features and he said hesitantly:

" She died two weeks ago. She fought bravely against Kaecilius but he tricked her and she didn't manage to go through it."

You took a deep breath, not letting your sadness pierced through your face. You had mourned her, she will always be in your heart and you had to go on. You managed to say:

" I know. I am here to help in anyway, euh, I didn't catch your name."

" Stephen. Doctor Stephen Strange."

He held up his hand to you and you shook it gently. The moment your palms touched, a bolt of electricity exploded between the two of you, sending you flying against the wall. Wong stepped in a few seconds later, drawn by the sudden noise. He exclaimed happily:

" Y/N!"

He came towards you, getting you up and giving you a hug which crushed your bones. You tried to breathe but he didn't let go. Stephen who had gotten up meanwhile saw the colours drained out of Y/N's face and rushed towards the two friends: " Wong, let her go, she can't breath!"

Immediately, Wong loosened his grip on you and you finally managed to take a deep breath. You laughed at him:

" Still crushing me each time I saw you, Wong. You really need to work on your hugs."

Stephen looked at you in disbelief.

" Usually, he never gives hugs Y/N."

Wong smirked evilly and asked, coming back to the main topic.

" So Y/N, what brings you here?"

Your tone suddenly turned into a serious and dreadful one:

" Mordo. He kept on following me for a week. I managed to run away each time but he said he blamed the Ancient One for giving hope to desperate souls. To him, I must give up magic, power and myself or he 'll kill me. He's stronger than before. He was my friend and I didn't want to hurt him so I ran away. What happened to him?"

Wong and Stephen looked at each other, having a silent conversation and you felt drawned to the man in the cloak. His confident posture, his arms crossed on his chest and the way his jaw tightened made your heart sped up. Stephen cleared his throat while Wong left the room.

" Here, let me explain to you what happened."

He began to tell you how Mordo slowly lost his faith in the Mystical Arts with the lie the Ancient One had kept, and then when Stephen had used the Eye of Agamotto to stop Dormammu and the Dark Dimension to devour Earth. You listened carefully his words, your heart slowly breaking for Mordo. You knew how much he idealised your old master, he trusts he with all his might, she was his rock and the rock was broken. Once Stephen finished, you sit down on the ground, next to the mini-table, pondering. Stephen sat in front of you and prepared some tea while you were thinking. The delightful smell of your favourite tea snapped you out of your thoughts. You watched the magician handing you a warm teacup and you smiled at him. You didn't notice the blush covering his cheeks while you thanked him. Silence wrapped the atmosphere between the two of you so you decided to start a conversation:

" So the Cloak of Levitation is your relic, huh?"

He smirked while the cloak shivered at its mention.

" Yeah, it chose me when I was fighting Kaecilius. It saved my life more than once. "

You looked at him, a huge smile plastered on your face. You had heard about this famous relic, the Cloak of Levitation. and you wondered what it can do.

" May I touch it? I heard so much of it when I was studying, you know."

He nodded and got up, retrieving it from his shoulders to put it on yours. You were taken apart by his gestures and when you protested, he shushed you by putting a finger on your lips:

" Just enjoy it, Y/N. Besides, the cloak seems to have taken a liking to you. Perhaps, this is why when we touched we were sent flying in the room."

You shook your head, stroking the soft silk of the cloak.

" No, I think it's more than that, Stephen. You're the new Sorcerer Supreme and I'm at almost the same level than the Ancient One. Sometimes, when two strong powers meet, sparks fly in between. I think that is why our touch was so electric. The first encounter of two powers is always quite explosive."

The Cloak floated back to Stephen, glowing slightly and you smiled back at Stephen who tried to stop the hems of the cloak to caress his chin. You laughed at the sight, holding your belly. Stephen smirked at you and said:

'' You can stay here as long as you want. And maybe, we could train together"

" I would love to."

You got on tour tiptoes and kissed his cheek before leaving the room to get your ancient bedroom, leaving a blushing Stephen behind you.

A/N: So what did you think guys? Would you like a next chapter where Mordo found them or a training fight between Y/N and Stephen?
