You jumped aside to avoid the blast of power Stephen threw to you. Today was the day, you were going to show your powers to him, how you let it invade your veins to scatter itself around you like wings spreading like an eagle. You raised your head up, watching him activate blazing shields. A smirk reached your lips, and you focussed a ball of energy in your hands before throwing it to him. A grin graced his lips and he muttered under his breath " Here begins the real fight" and took a defence position, ready to stop your attack. You focussed on the ball of energy in your hands and then separated your hands, dividing the ball into two spheres of power, like Stephen did with his pentagrams shields. You grinned at his face, utterly shock and surprise by your action. Then you approached him slowly, keeping at throwing blast of energy, like a predator circling its prey. However, he surprised you when the moment your fist was going to connect his chest, his cloak grasped you and threw you away. You landed roughly on your back and yelled of pain. Your breath was heavy, but you were enjoying this fight. You had to concede Stephen was a geat opponent and you were honoured to fight against him in a friendly duel.

" Ready for more, Y/N?" he asked, his eyebrows knitted together.

You dusted off your clothes, getting up.

" Always" you answered and attempted to attack him when a portal suddenly erupted from nowhere and shots of magic threw out of it. Immediately, you activated shields to protect yourself, as did Stephen. " What the hell is going on? Oh my God! It's him!" you thought, watching in horror, Mordo stepped out of the portal, eye fixed upon you, an unemotional face plastered. Your breath was caught in your throat and you instinctively walked back. Your heart was pounding faster in your chest, all your memories of him purchasing you coming back to you. You closed you eyes shut and took a deep breath. Your fists clenched and anger overwhelmed your body. You were not going to let him put you down, you were going to fight with all you might. You stood up in front of him, walking next to Stephen who was looking at his old friend, sadness filling his blue eyes. He attempted to say something but Mordo cut him out:

" Don't even think about it, Stephen. You, using the Eye of Agamotto destroyed the balance between what is hope and despair, when a path has reached its end definitely."

I shook my head.

" No , there is always hope. Nothing is determined for sure as long as you have a breath in your body, Mordo."

An evil laugh erupted from him, his eyes darkening at your answer. It sends shivers down your spine and your knuckles turned white in an attempt to not begin a fight you were not sure was absolutely necessary. Maybe you could try to convince him to not kill you.

" Oh, Y/N, you're delusional. Once you've touched the end of the abyss, you know you won't ever reach the state you had before. It's like a bone, once it's broken, it 'll never be the same again. Now, enough talking. Y/N, you cheated the laws of nature, so you have to pay the price for it."

He positioned himself, bending his knees slightly and handing his hands towards you. Your eyes widened and your training took over your body, the voice of the Ancient One echoed in your head during one of your session" Always be ready to protect yourself first, never run in a fight face down". You clapped your hands together and activated the Mirror Dimension. Stephen looked at you and nodded in approval.

" Now, shall we begin?" you said, letting your emotions aside and entering in a warrior mode. He was the old friend you had known, not anymore. Mordo bounced, created blazing step for him to punched you from above. You were sent away in the wall, letting a whimper of pain escaping your lips. You groaned and got up, watching Stephen levitated in the air and throwing his scorching whip at him. Mordo flipped it easily and ran towards you, still using his ability in the air. An idea popped in your head and once he was close enough from you. You raised your leg up, kicking him right in the chest. Gravity's law brought back to the ground and you took the opportunity to send a blast of energy to knock him out. However, he blocked it and got up.

" You improved your skilled combat, what about magic?"

He rose his hands up, making a sign you have never seen and the room started to shake. You watched your surroundings, noticing Stephen cursed under his breath. You grabbed Stephen's arm and put him behind you. Then you made a large circle with your hands, creating the biggest shield you've ever made. You knew that Mordo was going to shoot an enormous blast of magic so you had to protect yourself. You let all the disappearance of pain, the joy of discovering magic, the growing seed of hope rooted in your heart spreading, every good moment you enjoyed, all the positive things you've been through invaded your body to make the ultimate protection. You felt Stephen intertwined his fingers with yours, whispering " I'm not leaving you, Y/N", and the last ingredient to fulfil the perfect protection, was love, which strengthened your magic. Your pentagram shield started to glow, brightening Stephen and you. Mordo, stepped back, his eyes wide and furious but he kept on activating his spell. Then a huge purple magic hit your shield which... remained still. You stepped forward, your shield still growing.

" You ... Will... Not... Make... Any...Harm....To...Anyone!" you yelled with all your gut, frightening a bit Stephen who jumped in surprise. Suddenly, your spell broke in thousand fiery pieces to capture Mordo in an igniting prison. He screamed for release but you just looked at him, stoical.

"It's not over, Y/N. You have no right to use this magic! You should be dead!" he yelled at you and his words hit you in your heart. You shivered and Stephen gently stroked his thumb on your hands. Stephen smiled smiled warmly at you and he was going to say something when Mordo interrupted him... again. This put him on the edge and he put a quiet spell on Mordo whose voice was mute.

" Well, I understand why the Ancient One took you as an apprentice. You got the fire of hope burning in your eyes. I saw it when you fought. "

His striking blue eyes gazing you made you blushed and you looked away.

" Now, would you like some tea? "

You laughed a bit, and nodded, accepted the invitation. You both left the room, maintaining the Mirror Dimension for Mordo, and letting Wong know about the state of Mordo.

A/N: So what did you think? Did you like it?
