head up! i'm not sure if I said this already, but when i finish this story, and i will finish it! i will be writing the Prequel. the story of how Riley got into the gang and the love Triangle between her Ricky and Eli and how everything ended up the way it did. knowing that there will be so residue from that story that shows up in this one. Like the flash backs Riley has in her dreams. Now that you know all of that, this is probably the most important information i should've told you guys a while ago. The story of Riley and the gang is an Adaptation of Where The Wild Things Are. ( the book and the movie but mostly the movie)  hope you guys enjoy this chapter x)

“Blake invited me over to help paint your living room.” Lyle smiled.

“Yeah, you want to help?”

“I’ve got nothing better to do.” I shrugged.

“Cool come over at like, 3:00? Or I could just take you home with me and we can get a head start.” Butterflies sprouted to life in my stomach and I did my best to hold back my excitement.

“Um…yeah, we can do that.”

“Alright, I’ll give you a ride home too.” I nodded and bit my cheek to hold back my smile. My heart started racing as the end of the day got closer and closer. I couldn’t wait until I could get into Mr. Clark’s car, just the two of us. O I just hope I don’t say anything stupid. Hopefully I won’t go crazy and blurt out that his wife is cheating on him. When their marriage falls apart, I don’t want to say it was because of me. Their marriage is going to fall apart on it’s on and when it does I don’t want to be able to say I hand in it. Things just get too messy that way. “Ready?” he asked as he shut down his computer and grabbed his bag. I nodded not trusting myself to use words.

I got into his car and took a deep breath. I didn’t expect to be so pleased with the smell. It smelled just like him. I leaned back and melted into the seat. I imaged that this was what it felt like to be wrapped in his arms. I’m not used to being so mushy, but yet at the same time I’m not used to this feeling. I’ve never been in love with a person who couldn’t love me back before. He sat in the car and smiled at me.

“Sorry about the mess.” He mumbled as he put the key in the ignition.  I looked around and snorted at the random Gatorade bottles and hats that littered his back seat. I turned around and noticed the little basketball swinging from rearview mirror.

“Why didn’t you play Basketball in college?”

“There were more important things I had to take care of.”

“More important…like what?”

“You want to pick up something to eat?”

“I want you to answer my question.” I teased.

“Why is Blake driving around in your foster bother’s Car?”

“I would love to pick up something to eat, how about McDonalds?”

“That’s what I thought.” He chuckled pulling into the McDonalds drive through. After we ordered I leaned back into my seat and questions started to pile up into my head.
