Although Memories of You is a work of fiction, many of the depicted events are based on first person accounts from survivors of World War II. Upcoming chapters will deal with extremely sensitive and difficult subject matter, none of which is meant to sensationalize or exaggerate the actual events that occurred during the war. In putting these familiar characters into such extreme situations, I seek only to honor the suffering and sacrifices of the true heroes behind this story – the brave people that lived and died during 'The War to End All Wars'.
