taehyung focus
taehyung's still lying paralysed on the bed, arms and legs spread out like a starfish as he struggles to process what he had just done.

did i seriously threaten my kidnapper with a gun?

did i seriously - seriously - try to make my kidnapper give me the key by straddling him and aiming a gun at him?

nice try taehyung, but you should've just whacked him over the head with the gun, and break the door open somehow or something like that.

his mind flits back to lying underneath his captor, defenceless and completely unable to move. he remembers the feeling of jeon's warm breath tickling his cheek as he hovered above him on all fours, remembers his dark eyes and long lashes and the weight of his legs against his own. he shudders.

he frowns when he realises something; that was the first time he's ever been so intimately close with someone. he was used to people: maids, bodyguards, workers, even his own family (his father and brother were always at work and his mom didn't even acknowledge him) skirting around him.

"get up, we're going downstairs."
taehyung's broken out of his thought track and his frown slips off when jeon exits the small bathroom, fully dressed in black with a red cap tugged on low over his forehead.

"sorry?" taehyung asks, brows furrowed, "we're leaving? where to? i thought we were staying here-"

"we're headed somewhere far. it's gonna take while to get there." jeon says, picking up his backpack and hoisting it over his shoulder. "better start moving soon." he finishes, looking  at taehyung from under his cap.

"o-oh." is all taehyung can manage as he slides off the unmade bed, legs feeling a little unsteady as he makes his way to where jeon stood, by the door.

"let's go then." jeon says.

when jeon had said "we're going downstairs", taehyung had thought he meant down the stairs, out of the love nest and in the car, getting back on the road. he didn't think that jeon literally meant downstairs until jeon marched him down crowded corridors and down too narrow stairways, the place full of one night standers walking away with their heads bowed shamefully and their clothes put on disarrayed.

"wait, we're not going outside?" taehyung asks as jeon drags him past the entrance where tired and embarrassed men and women leave one after the other. taehyung looks over his shoulder at them, yearning to leave this shitty little motel as well.

"you need clothes." jeon says simply, his previous playful demeanour dissipating, now his face was devoid of emotion, as usual.

"what's wrong with my clothes-" taehyung looks down at his now grey and crumpled shirt, his ripped slacks and muddy jacket. "oh."

jeon doesn't reply, instead he continues to guide taehyung to the receptionist with his hand wrapped tightly round taehyung's thin wrist.

"excuse me? last night, the receptionist told me there was a shop here?" jeon politely asks the man sitting behind the desk. an elderly looking man watches them with narrowed eyes, his lips pulled into a scarily wide grin that displayed his yellowing teeth. "you want the shop do ya?" he asks, chuckling wheezily.

jeon stands behind the counter stoically, waiting for the man to stop his fit of breathy laughing whilst taehyung watches over jeon's shoulder, worried that the frail man was having an asthma attack.
