You and Draco were going on a trip to London for the day. Being a half-blood witch bought up in a muggle town, you were used to getting round the muggle way. It felt like more of an adventure when your uses of magic were limited. So that's how your day was going to go, Magic free. It was almost the end of the summer holiday before you returned to Hogwarts once more, but you wanted to get this trip in before you both returned.

As Draco boarded the train heading into London, he sat uncomfortably on the red patterned seats beneath him. "I don't know why we couldn't have just used flu to get there." He moaned, staring out of the grubby window at the bland surroundings.
Draco turned his nose up, but you placed a hand on his that was resting on his knee. "You'll enjoy it eventually." You stated hopefully, trying to reassure yourself as well as Draco that this was a good idea.
Arriving at Paddington, you and Draco hopped off the train that screeched to a firm stop beside platform 14. As you both walked towards the exit, you handed Draco his ticket to get him through the barriers. "What do I have to do with this?" He asked, waving the orange ticket around as you approached the grey contraptions.
"Just put it in the little hole when you get to the barrier okay." You told him.
Standing in front of the electronic gates, you fed the ticket into the machine and took it out the top while the gates opened allowing you to go through. Draco attempted to walk straight behind you, instantly being stopped by the forceful shutters. You turned around and giggled as the boy scowled at the inanimate object that blocked his path.
"Mate can you 'urry up. Some of us 'ave places to be." A burly gentleman with a strong cockney accent addressed.
Draco turned abruptly to him, staring him down and reaching into his pocket for his wand before you grabbed his hand over the barrier and turned him round. "Just put the ticket in that hole and take it from the top." You informed him calmly.

Draco did exactly what you asked of him and strolled through as you gave a subtle death glare at the rude man on the other side. Taking Draco's hand in yours, you both walked across the bustling, old structured London station, over to the steps of the underground. Draco saw the god awful machines once again, but instead of looking at them in a confusing manner like last time, your best friend charged at it head on. Putting the ticket in the slot and marching through as though a swarm of angry business men were flocking behind him at rush hour. You laughed at his determination to get it right as he left the ticket in the machine. You picked his up and followed him, handing the pale yellow and orange card back to him. "Oh. Whoops. Thank you (Y/L/N)." He smiled, taking the paper in his fingers delicately.
As you both made your way down the tunnels of the underground to the Bakerloo line, you looked over Draco's choice of attire. He wore a black shirt, black jacket, black trousers and matte black shoes. His pale skin and platinum hair stood out amounts this clothing style. "Do you not think that maybe you should have worn something a little more inconspicuous?" You enquired as you both reached the platform the tube was going to arrive at.
He shrugged, looking down at his outfit. "It's not like I'm wearing my robes. I have seen a few people in suits." He informed you as though you hadn't noticed.
You nodded as the train pulled up. "Yes. Business men. Not teenage boys." You confirmed, allowing the people onboard to filter out before you climbed on. Draco was being his usual arrogant self and tried to push his way through the bustle of people climbing off the train, to which he got some glares and strongly worded comments. Draco hadn't quite learnt the train etiquette of central London.

As you stood holding the bar above your head, the train pulled out of the station abruptly, causing Draco to topple over into the floor of the carriage. As he climbed up the pole beside him, he clung onto it for dear life as the train went down the tracks to Oxford Circus. Taking Draco's hand quickly, you ran off the train before one of you got left behind. "Well look what your wearing." He commented.
You looked down. "Jeans and a jumper?... What's wrong with that?" You asked, looking at him in confusion as he swiftly mastered the ticket barrier.
"It's rather bland, don't you think. Very- Muggle." He pointed out.
You rolled your eyes, smiling at the boy. "Good job Draco. You have successfully identified muggle clothing. Now we are going to go into a shop to buy you some normal cloths so you don't look like a character straight out of Twilight." You informed him, dragging your best friend down the street.
He looked at you funny, trailing behind you slightly but holding onto your hand tightly. "What's Twilight?" Draco questioned simply, confusion evident in the way he spoke.
You looked round at him quickly. "You don't want to know." You told him, finally coming to a shop that you thought would be sufficient.

"Top, Man?" Draco queried, looking up at the sign lit in giant letters above the door to the shop.
You rolled your eyes again at his naivety to the muggle world. "Yes Draco. TopMan. I can't afford it, but you can, don't you worry." You dragged him into the shop to find him a more sensible outfit for strolling around London.
You began piling a selection of cloths onto your arm for the boy to try. It was nothing he wouldn't feel comfortable in. A selection of black jeans, casual dark coloured shirts and green and blue jumpers.
Thrusting the boy into a changing room, you instructed him to try the clothes on. He came out in a multitude of different outfits. In the end you both settled on some slim black jeans, soft checked green and brown shirt and a Slytherin green jumper. He looked very handsome in the outfit, but still blended in perfectly on the streets of London.

Making your way to Waterloo, Draco continuously complained about the mass of people around him in the city. You walk around the centre and down by the river. The sun was setting as you leant on the stone wall that looked out at the wide span of water.
"If I could do one thing, it would be this. I wish I could fly over the River Thames at night. It would be beautiful, with the moon shining over the city and the lights from the office building illuminating the surroundings. But also I just want to be higher than that stupid wheel." He pointed up at the London Eye that was sitting to your left.
You chuckled, looking up at the large structure. "Also I want to look at that funny building over there up close." He pointed across the river at the grand, sand stone yellow, building.
You looked at him confused. "You mean the Houses of Parliament?"
He shrugged. "Yeah, probably. That one. With the clock." He pointed once more.
You laughed at the intelligent boy. "You my friend, have so much to learn about the muggle world." You told him, linking arms and hugging it tight as the sun went down over London.
