It had been a year since Voldemort had been defeated. Draco and yourself decided not to go back for your final year. Apparently, Hermione was one of the only ones who went back. Along with Neville who had recently become the new Herbology teacher.
You and Draco had just moved into your own house, away from nagging parents, nosey relatives and pressure from people. You had an entire house, just the two of you. It was perfect. It needed a lot of fixing up but as soon as you set foot in the door, you couldn't wait to start working on it.

You had been living there for a while and, as a priority, had made sure the pluming, gas and electricity worked. All they was left were the final decorations and a bit of painting in certain rooms.
You stood back from the wall you had just painted and admired your work. You had spent the day painting your room. Three walls white with a a hint of grey and the feature wall was splashed with a deep green colour to show your everlasting pride for your school house, regardless of what people say about it.  Looking down at your clothes, you saw green and grey blobs of paint splattered on your shirt. "Oh Merlin. I look like an absolute mess right now. Well, I guess some things never change." You chuckled to yourself, honestly believing what you just said.
Draco was stood next to you admiring the wall as he turned to look over at you. "You look perfect my darling. You always do." He whispered thinking you wouldn't hear him. But you turned to face him and smiled, placing a light kiss on his cheek.

Draco loved you more than anything on earth. He wouldn't know what to do without you and it made him sad to think that you thought so badly of yourself. You were both young when you started dating and together you had gone through enough to test your relationship. But 5 years in and you were still with one another and as close as ever. Nothing was going to stop you two from being together. As Draco looked back on the years he had spent with you, he realised how much you really meant to him. He obviously knew you were a strong and loving woman, but as he thought about it in more detail, he admired you more then he thought he could.
Draco began to think. You were the only person in school he told about being forced to become a Death Eater and you kept that a secret. It was one that you promised to never tell a soul about, even if someone tortured you for the information. You were strong enough to survive the war, standing against your family and the Dark Lord. You helped Draco stay on Potters side much to Voldemorts displeasure, urging a multitude of damaging spells to be hurled at you. You also assisted Narcissa in getting away without the Dark Lord finding out. Draco would always be thankful for the way you helped his mother. You also weren't afraid to show your true emotions. You were stronger than anyone he knew.
There wasn't one thing Draco wanted to change about you even if he could. He never wanted to let you go.

As you sat on the sofa in the half finished lounge, you began to talk to your boyfriend who was lead beside you. You talked about your dreams, your future and what you though the future would bring when you were younger. You realised most of what you wanted, he wanted as well. A house; check. To be with you forever; working on it. To have a baby one day; not quite yet. But most of all you just wanted to be happy. After everything that had happened, that's really what you both deserved.
You looked up at your boyfriend and his eyes connected with yours, not able to let go. He inched forward and connected his cold lips to yours slowly kissing you in a methodical, loving way. Every emotion he had towards you and everything he had thought about that day was conveyed in that one long kiss. Draco struggled to put his emotions into words, so the kiss held so much meaning that he wished he could explain. But you understood. You loved him more than he would ever comprehend and you never wanted to let him go. You needed one another. You were perfect for each other.

This one was inspired by Perfect by Ed Sheeran. My sister has been playing it on repeat so I though I may as well write about it. -A
