You were envious of your younger sister, Molly. It's not like you didn't get along. Far from it. From a young age she had looked up to you like a god. But now, you had to look up to her. She was the perfect witch in the family. You knew she would go on to do great things in the future. But you were bitter because of it.

When you had gone to Hogwarts, your parents were so proud. They looked past the fact you had been sorted into Slytherin and admired your determination and ambition to succeed. You were so excited about finally learning how you use your magical abilities. It was incredible. You got by in school, you weren't perfect, just average. But your parents were glad that you were trying your hardest.
When you got to 3rd year, your little sister came to the magical school and everything changed.
She was instantly sorted into Ravenclaw and your parents beamed with pride as they were both in Ravenclaw when they attended Hogwarts. Molly instantly flourished in the magical environment and excelled at everything she did. She got outstanding grades in all of her subjects, made the Quidditch team in second year and never lost a single point for her house. She was perfect in every way. Funny, smart and kind. She wasn't popular, but no one had any reason to dislike her.

As your 6th year came around, Molly entered her 4th. Dumbledore almost offered her the option of going up a year because she had read so far ahead for her year and was completing 5th year work, the type of work you still struggled on. As you sat in the Great Hall, the morning after Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff's Quidditch match, an owl flew down and dropped a letter in front of you. Instantly recognising the handwriting, you sighed.
"Who's it from?" Your boyfriend, Draco, asked from beside you.
Tearing open the envelope, you told him. "Mum and Dad. It's one of their joint letters to me and Molly where over three quarters of it will be about my 'perfect little sister'." You informed him, mocking your younger sibling with a childish, spiteful voice.
Draco nodded. He knew all to well about how your relationship with your sister had changed over the years.

Looking over the letter, you were completely right. Half of it was about the Quidditch match which you weren't entirely sure how they had even heard about, but regardless, you skipped down to where your mother addressed you.
(Y/N). I hope your well. Make sure you are doing your homework.
Your sister tells me that you have gotten extremely close to the Malfoy's now. Is that such a wise decision, looking at their history? Regardless, hope to be seeing you soon.

That was it. In a three page letter, that was all you got. Draco peered over to read it, turning his nose up at the last part. You held it tightly in your hand, crumpling the parchment purposefully, and marched over to the Ravenclaw table. Seeing Molly, you threw the letter down in front of her without a word and strolled out of the hall, not feeling hungry anymore.
Draco quickly caught up to you to make sure you were alright. You had never told your parents about your close friendship with their enemies son but you knew that they would never allow your relationship with him. But as you stormed through the halls ranting to your boyfriend about your relentless parents, the last person you wanted to see began calling from behind you.
"(Y/N). What's up with you? Why are you so angry?" She demanded.
You spun round and scowled at your perfect younger sister. "Why am I angry? Why do you think? I have had it up to here with you and your inhuman knowledge, your friendly personality and the way you are held so high in our parents eyes. Your untouchable. Mum and Dad won't even approve of my friends let alone my boyfriend. And my grades are abysmal as far as they're concerned. What is it going to take to get a little bit of encouragement." You shouted at her, gesturing wildly.

You sister stood in shock. "Look. I tried to be nice to you but here's the thing. It's not like you are trying. Your friends are all evil Slytherin freaks and you have no extraordinary magical talent. And you wonder why Mum and Dad favour me." She spat.
Before you could retaliate, Draco was stood between the two of you scowling at Molly. "Do you want to say that to our faces? Because we are all happy to hear it from you personally." He snarled.
Molly backed away from his intimidating posture. She had always been weary around Draco. She was unsure of him. Draco would make an effort to be pleasant towards Molly but as she was being rude towards you, Draco lost it and made a point of defending you. "Don't you dare say my girlfriend isn't talented. She has so many qualities that you only wish you had. Now, if you'd like to insult my beautiful girl any more than you already have done, go ahead, but just know I'm listening. And us 'Slytherin freaks' are not very forgiving." He warned as he turned up his nose at the shorter girl.

Molly quickly turned around and stormed down the hallway back to the Great Hall. You smiled at your protective boyfriend as he turned round to you. "Thank you." You wrapped your arms around him.
He reciprocated muttering in your ear. "Anything for my princess."
You giggled pulling away and and kissing him thankfully.
You knew that even though your family didn't really approve of your life choices, your friends or held you very high in their eyes, your friends would always be there for you. Because Slytherins stick together, no matter what.

I'm so sorry this wasn't up yesterday. I was so stressed with school and preparation for exams and then I started thinking about life (never a good idea. Book worlds are better than real life). That's when I just turned on Dan and Phil and tried to forget about everything. So yeah, sorry about missing a day. -A
