POV Alana.

We walked in a comfortable silence. I didn't know where we were going but I trusted Bo. A bolt of lightening lit the dimming sky purple followed by the loud boom of thunder. I jumped wrapping my arms around Bo's bicep pulling it into my chest. Lightening struck again with an eery cracklings followed by slow rolling thunder that shook the earth. Good lord! I clung to Bo for dear life. I'm not a fan of thunderstorms. They are loud and unpredictable and obnoxious and I hate them. As if things couldn't get worse it began to rain. It started out with a light sprinkle and at first I welcomed the soft pitter-patter of the droplets. Until the light rain became I heavy storm. Sheets of heavy rain fell endlessly weighing me down and drenching my cloths.

"Come on!" Bo laughed shouting over the rain as he tugged my arm pulling me with him. I obediently followed desperate to get out of this rain. I don't know how he navigated these streets. With the setting sun and heavy rain I could hardly see my hand right in front of my face. But I followed him two blocks up the road until we stopped in front of a warn down apartment complex.

"Is this where you live?" I yelled over the rumbling thunder as he dug a key out of his pocket. He unlocked the door and pulled me inside the dry semi warm building.

"Sadly." He chuckled embarrassed. I wasn't judging! He just moved her not to long ago and he works at a cafe shop for fuck sake. I didn't expect anything glamorous. He lead me up two flights of stairs to a door with a plate that had B-37 carved into it. When he unlocked the door and we stepped inside the room was pitch black besides the occasional lightening strike that briefly lit the room. I jumped as the lightening eliminated a stumbling mass crawling toward us. What the fuck is that!

"It's just Tilly!" Bo reassured noticing my sudden panic. My heart began to slow its rapid pace as Tilly peeked his head into the hall. Aww! He really does look just like the Tilly back home aside from his fur being a bit darker. I knelt down scratching the top of the mutts head affectionately. I looked up at Bo to see a gentle loving smile on his face. The corners of my lips quirked up a light blush dusting my checks as I caught he gaze.

"I'll get you a change of cloths." He said stepping past the doorway. I followed suit taking small weary steps into the dark room. I heard the click of the light switch being flipped but nothing happened. The room remained just as dim and eery as it had been. "Shit." Bo cursed under his breath. "Power must be out." He grumbled walking further into the house. "I'll light some candles."

"Alright." My voice was meek barley a whisper as I glanced around the room. I couldn't see much except for the outline of a couch and a TV maybe every time a bolt of lightning lit the room. I heard Tilly's nails clicking against the hardwood floors as he ran off to god knows we're in this dark ibis. A moment later Bo came in holding a lighter and a few candles placing them around the room. They were no lightbulb but they did the trick. And they smell nice. "Where are those cloths you promised." I laughed wrapping my arms around my dripping wet torso. "It's freezing in here."

"Oh right!" Bo jumped disappearing into a door across the room. Anxiously I followed peeking my head into the room. I watched as he lit a few candles barely lighting the room. This seemed to be the place he spent most of his time. There was a mattress sat on the floor pushed up against the wall in the corner and a keyboard sat against the center of the far wall surrounded by notebooks and balled up pieces of paper carelessly thrown to the floor. There was even a small place obviously made for Tilly. But from what I've seen he prefers to lay on the couch.

"Is a T shirt fine? I mean they're loss on me so it'll be like a burka on you but their dry." He laughed digging through his closet moving a few hangers to the side.

"Yeah I don't care." I mumbled glancing around the room. There wasn't anything supper distinctive or personal like photos or keep sakes.

"Here ya go." He said awkwardly holding out the shirt.

"Thanks Bo." I nodded curtly taking what looked light a plain sky blue T shirt.

"No problem. I'll go put some coffee on." Yes! That is exactly what I need right now. A warm cup of coffee. When he stepped out of the room I took my shirt and pants off replacing them with the sky blue shirt. The collar was two times bigger than it should have been, the sleeves where almost to my elbows, and the hem reached my mid thigh. Perfect! It was warm as fuck especially compared to the dripping wet cloths I had on before. I took a step towards the door only to pause turning towards the keyboard slightly.

He told me he played but I've never heard anything of his. I walk over to the keyboard gently gliding my fingers over the key not applying any pressure. I couldn't help the giddy smile that pulled at my lips. I picked up one of the notebooks running my palm over the black cover. He wouldn't mind would he? Or is this an invasion of privacy? My curiosity got the best of me and I flipped to the first page giggling as I noticed a goofy doodle of a dog with its tongue held out lazily. I noticed a few rows of chicken scratch scrawled in the top left hand corner. I crouched next to a candle angling the paper until the words were just barely legible.

'A Dog's Poem

Roses are grey,
Violets are a different shade of grey
Let's go chase cars!'

I smiled reading the odd poem. Bo would write something like this. I flip to the next page.

'Her Eyes

Her eyes were like fire.
They weren't red or anything.
Not particularly warm, either.
They didn't glow or "appear to glow,"
Whatever that means.

But they had that same strange blend of
Familiar and miraculous-
And they were always nice to look at
After a day of doing things.

That's was oddly sweet. I looked at the image of a snow man and women sitting next to a fire. How ironic. I smiled exhaling through my nose.

"Do you like them?"
