I sit there nervously as I stare into his deep brown eyes. It's like we're both staring into each other's soul. After five minutes Jake's eyes start to water and he finally blinks. I laugh.
"Ahh ha, I win". He smiles & rolls his eyes.
"Whatever, you cheated"
"I don't think you can cheat in a staring contest Jake" I say. He stops for a minute then says, "Anyway what you want to do tonight".
Me & Jake have been bestfriends for all our lives. I've grown so attached to him, I get jealous when he flirts with other girls. I mean, who can blame him? He's gorgeous!
"Jayla!" He gets me out of my daze.
"Ooooo, We should watch a movie" I say.
"Okay, which one?" He asked.
"Hmmm, what about Dance For Our Love" I know it sounds corny, but it's actually a great love story with lots of action in it. I laid back into my bed until he comes back. He finally came back after about 10 minutes changed with popcorn. He lays down next to me as the movie starts. About an hour into the movie, i feel Jacob's hand touch my back. He looks at me.
"Cuddle with me" he says. To say I was excited was such an understatement. I moved closer to him and lay on his chest while he warped his arms around me.
"You smell good" I say. He laughs.
"Well thanks, I'm glad i don't stink" we both laugh as we turn our heads back to the movie. It gets to my favorite part, where the two love birds kiss at the end of the dance scene. But Jake pauses it. I turn to him confused.
"Why did you pause it? That's my favorite part!" I say kind of mad. But he doesn't say anything. He just stares at me like we're having a staring contest again. As much as I enjoy looking into those beautiful eyes I snap at him.
"Jake! What are you doing!" He jumps a little.
"Ohh, I'm sorry" he says in a low voice still looking at me.
"Why did you pause my scene" I say again calmly.
"Uhhh" he stalls.
"I was thinking we could finish ourselves" he says with hope in his eyes. We continue to stare at each other as he cups my chin and starts to lean in. With my heart beating fast I leaned in too as we started to kiss. His lips were so soft Lawd! I could've fainted at the moment. He pulled away and looked at me with the biggest smile.
"You blinked first, i win!" He laughs. I gasp then laughs too.
"No fair!" He knew I was about to go crazy so he kissed me again, but longer. This is the best night of my night.
