Ezra looked out to Yavin's base.
He couldn't stop thinking about the dragon.
It seemed so deadly but tame at the same time.
He kept wondering why it hadn't killed him.
Why it let him live in those woods.
He sighed.
He'd made up his mind.
Sneaking into the Ghost's kitchen, he swiped a fish from the freezer.
Making sure no one saw him, he ran into the woods.

Ezra found the cove pretty fast. Being there twice helped.
He went on to the over hanging ledge and looked across the area.
The Night Fury was no where to be seen.
'It's probably hiding' Ezra thought knowing it was impossible for it to fly or climb out of there. The rock walls were steep and very tall.
He went through a cluster of rocks that led down to the ground.
He jumped and his boot connected with a dry stick.
CRACK!
He froze.
Waiting for the dragon to pounce at him from the shadows, but it didn't.
Walking forward with the fish in hand, he looked nervously around the cove.
Once the dragon showed itself, he knew it wouldn't trust him straight away.
He looked over his shoulder and nearly jumped out of his skin.
The Night Fury was creeping down a rock. As its paws hit the earth, it sniffed the air and growled at Ezra as it got into a ready poistion.
Ezra held out the fish to the dragon.
The animal approached slowly and steadily then suddenly stepped back. Snarling.
Ezra looked down at his belt.
The Night Fury clearly saw his lightsaber and blaster as a threat.
He reached down to get them making the dragon growl loudly.
He grabbed his weapons and dropped them to the ground.
The dragon motioned them to the side with his head.
Ezra balanced them on his foot and tossed them far away. Knowing if something went wrong, he'd be able to use the Force to get them back.
The dragon made sure they were far away before sitting down. Its pupils went large as its ear flicked.
Ezra smiled and held out the food again.
The dragon approached and opened his mouth. Revealing pink gums with no teeth.
"Huh. Toothless. Could've sworn you had..." Ezra never finished his sentence. Teeth suddenly shot up from the Night Fury's gums and it snapped the fish in its jaws.
Throwing it in the air, he chewed and swallowed.
"Teeth" Ezra finished staring.
The dragon licked its lips then looked closely at Ezra. Growling and chuffing, it came towards the boy.
"No no no" Ezra said backing away. Tripping over a rock he shuffled back till he hit a rock.
"I don't...I don't have anymore."
The dragon seemed to roll its eyes back and began making gagging noises.
With a belching sound, it coughed a chunk of its regurgitated fish.
"Ew" Ezra groaned as it landed on his lap.
The dragon purred before walking back and sitting on its hind legs.
Ezra sat up a bit and watched the animal.
The Night Fury was looking at him with a expectant expression.
Ezra looked at the ground before back at the dragon.
It looked down at the fish then back at Ezra.
Ezra looked down at the fish then back at the dragon.
With a sigh, he brought it to his mouth and bit into it.
He almost spat it back out.
It tasted disgusting.
It was raw with dragon saliva covering it.
"Mm" Ezra faked.
The dragons ears shot up.
"Mmhmm" Ezra hummed holding out the fish.
The dragon made a swallowing noise.
"Mmm!" Ezra groaned. Looking at the sky he swallowed.
Quickly, he put a hand over his mouth so he didn't throw up.
Finally, he managed to get it down.
"Uhhh sqnk" he shuddered.
The Night Fury smacked its lips.
Ezra smiled at him.
The dragon looked at him for a second before rolling back his lips and giving the boy an unmistakable smile.
Ezra put the fish aside and reached out to the dragon.
It lost the grin and growled, flapping off to the other side of the stream.
Ezra watched it go before following it.
