A/N: ITS CHAPTER 30!!!
CHRISTINA'S POV:
"Four, what happened to Tris? No one ever told me." I ask, as we walk down a small hallway.
"My father kidnapped her." He keeps his answer short. I'm still wondering what happened.
"Then what?" Uh oh. Shouldn't have asked that. He looks mad.
"He beat her." He says quietly.
I gasp. He looks ahead, and walks faster than me, so he won't have to look me in the face.
We arrive at room 1046, and he holds up a finger, telling me to wait a minute before I go in.
He peeks into the room, and whispers, "Tris, Christina's here. You wanna see her?"
"Yeah, ok." She sounds scared, and defeated.
I brace myself for the worst, and walk in. It's worse than I thought.
"Tris!" I yell. I rush over to her crying.
"It's ok Chris. I'm fine." She assures me.
"No, you're not! Oh Tris, what did he do to you?" I ask.
"I-I don't want to talk about it." She looks away, her eyes glistening with tears.
"Sorry." I say sniffing.
Zeke and Uriah walk in.
"Woah! Tris are you ok?" They say in sync.
They look at each other and say at the same time, "Jinx!"
Zeke sets the food down, and Uriah sets down the drinks.
Tris starts to laugh, but winces and stops.
"I'm ok guys." She says. "I think..." She mutters. Only me and Four hear her.
I look at her sympathetically, and Four takes her hand.
"Who wants food?!?" Uriah yells playfully.
Four lets go of Tris hand, and goes over to the side table that breakfast is on.
"What do you got?" He asks eagerly.
Zeke chuckles.
"Pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs, dauntless cake--" he gets cut off by Four.
He yells, "Gimme the cake!"
We all laugh. Tris yelps in pain.
Four leaves his cake, and dashes to Tris' bedside.
"Are you ok? What's wrong?"
"I'm fine. It just...hurts to laugh..." She says sheepishly.
"Tris I'm so sorry. You can't even be happy without hurting." He says.
A few tears make their way down his cheeks.
Aww!
"Please, don't cry for me. I hate it..." She says, crying too.
"You guys are gonna make me cry." I say tears welling up in my eyes.
"Me too!" Zeke and Uriah add at the same time.
"Jinx again!" Uriah yells.
"Ugh, whatever." Zeke adds.
Uriah smirks, "I win."
We all smile.
Leave it to Zeke and Uri to lighten the mood.
