Davina paces in the dark alley, her nerves getting the better of her. If Aya or the Strix coven or even the Mikaelsons found out about this, she would be beyond dead. If Kol knew what she was doing... He's probably be turning over in his grave.

It hadn't been her idea, not entirely. But Lexi is her friend. At least, was her friend. They hadn't spoken since she had become Regent. Even when she was shunned, Lexi hadn't reached out. Davina hadn't particularly cared. Not until she saw her working with Aurora.

When Lexi, Lexi, starts working with the enemy, either something is very wrong with the werewolf, or her family had done something unforgivable. Although, Davina doesn't know where that line is. She would have thought that daggering Lexi would have been the line. Apparently not. She would have thought that not bringing Kol back when they had the chance would have been the line. Apparently not.

So, as she waits for her friend to show up, she can't help but get cold feet. What if Lexi just kills her on sight? What if Lexi decides to play with her?

Kol would have been better for this job.

Davina freezes when she feels a shift in the air. The click of heels sounds throughout the alley. Davina turns to see the blonde come to a stop. Davina looks the woman over, her eyes trailing from the blonde hair to the amazingly beautiful heels.

"Hello, Davina," Lexi says. The smile on her lips almost lets Davina relax. But then she notices the chaos in the blue eyes.

"Lexi." Davina greets stiffly.

Lexi glances away before tentatively taking a step forward. "If this is about your shunning, I'm sorry."

"That wasn't your fault." Davina shakes her head.

"Davina, I'm sorry I wasn't there for you." Lexi takes another step forward. This time, Davina steps back. "I'm sorry if I'm scaring you." Lexi takes a step back.

"Why?"

Lexi's expression turns to pure confusion. "Why what, darling?"

"Why work with Aurora?" Davina asks, her disappointment clear in her voice.

"I could ask the same to you. Why work with Aya and the Strix?" Lexi raises an eyebrow.

"Please," Davina's voice breaks, seeing the emotionless expression. "Please, just answer me."

Lexi surveys Davina's features. Her blue eyes flicker, with what, Davina can't tell. It's almost as if Lexi is having a conversation with someone. "Because my brothers were being idiots, as usual. It seems that the job of keeping them in line always falls to me."

"But, Aurora?" Davina scoffs.

"Davina, why did you call me here?" Lexi asks. "If you want to know where Aurora is, I can't tell you. I don't know."

"This is about more than just Aurora!" Davina exclaims, taking a step forward. She doesn't realize it, not even when Lexi's eyes flicker with amusement. "This is about you! You're not..." Davina trails off, realizing the shift in Lexi's expression.

Lexi steps forward and is all of a sudden in front of the young witch. "Davina, what are you asking?"

The blue eyes seem to bore into Davina's soul. Then, Lexi is cupping her cheek. "I want..." Davina breathes, feeling scared.

"What?"

"I want my friend back," Davina admits, now shaking.

"All that pain you've been keeping to yourself." Lexi clicks her tongue, a smirk resting on her lips. "Why don't you share it?"
