Lights. Bright lights. Like flickering flames.

Lexi groans, her eyes still tightly shut.

Cool air blows. Her hair covers her face. She groans again, blowing it out of the way.

Then, she remembers what happened.

Her eyes fly open. She doesn't move as she looks around. She sees a line of candles, each with a dancing flame. The smell makes her want to vomit. She can distantly hear crying and smell alcohol. The fox hates being a wolf. Too sensitive.

A pair of shoes walks into her vision. She stays silent. She watches as the man kneels down next to her, his expression completely neutral. "Remember me?" Deaton asks.

She growls softly. She opens her mouth to speak but realizes she can't. A gag is tightly placed around her head, stopping her from talking. Her eyes flicker with rage.

"Oh shut up," Klaus' teasing voice sounds from behind her. "You won't be here much longer, Nogitsune."

She rolls onto her back, letting her tied up hands fall onto her stomach. She starts to laugh, her eyes dark. They move from Klaus down the row of creatures. Elijah. Freya. Cora. Derek.

"Might as well give it some last words," Elijah says, stepping into the circle of candles and moving the gag out of Lexi's mouth.

The first thing she does is spit in his face. Then, she lunges for him.

He quickly dodges, letting her fall right into the invisible barrier between her and everyone else. "What is this?" She sneers.

"An execution." Freya hisses. Lexi's eyes snap to her's. She almost sees betrayal in Lexi's eyes.

"From you?" Lexi breaks apart her chains, letting them clang to the ground. "You think you can hold me?"

"Yes."

Lexi starts to laugh. "You think your dear aunt would let me roam around without some help?" Freya's eyes flicker with fear. "Dahlia made me, did you know that?"

"Shut up." Cora groans. "Someone kill it already."

"I thought I had some last words." Lexi deadpans, her eyes not moving from Freya. "Dahlia made me in order to protect you, witch. I am no different than you are."

Freya scoffs, crossing her arms. "Don't believe me?" Lexi's eyes darken. "I used to watch you play."

Freya goes completely still.

"You used to make the birds sing and die." Lexi starts to smirk. "And then Dahlia put you to sleep. Do you know what it feels like to have no one to talk to for over a decade? I do."

"Freya, time to start the spell," Derek orders. His voice comes out soft, but there is an urgency to it.

"I think you're right." Freya faces away from Lexi as she readies a talisman.

"Kukan was my name. The first void kitsune," Lexi muses, not the least bit worried. "The rest were named after me. But one thing most of the stories get wrong is that us foxes are faithful to humans. Almost to a fault."

"Faithful?" Deaton echoes.

"Dahlia created me, emissary. I protected her for 20 years that were filled with nothing but silence." Lexi snaps. "As I said, I'm not that different than all of you—"

"We are not the same!" Freya exclaims, turning on Lexi and stomping up to the barrier. Lexi's eyes glint with amusement.

"No?" Lexi fakes surprise. "Were you not turned into a ruthless killer by a person you trusted?"
