Eight years later.

I breathed in the Korean air for the first time in eight years. Eight whole years and I never came to visit even once during that time. That's very rude of me...

However, today is a must that I have to go back.

I was already running late, coming on the day of the wedding itself. But, hey, what happens when your boss abuses your hard work and you decide to quit out of nowhere, right? Anyway, after I checked in to my hotel, I grabbed a taxi as fast as I could and told him to rush to the event place.

I texted mom that I got here safely. I feel bad that I couldn't meet up with her first. She's basically mad that I rarely contacted her during my time in America. I apologized and excitedly looked out the window as we were getting nearer to the place, and when I finally arrived, I rushed to the restroom to change into a dress despite forgetting to bring shoes so I'm only wearing sneakers.

Once I was out, I wandered the quiet halls, wondering where I should go. I looked about every room only to find empty ones or other weddings taking place. I've already reached the end of the hall and turned back to where I came from.

"Well, aren't you someone familiar?"

My heart dropped from the sudden voice. I jumped in shock and held my chest as I looked up at the person. I grinned from ear to ear. "Have I seen you before?", I jokingly said.

He chuckled. "Welcome back."

"I'm home."

He opened his arms and I threw myself in his embrace. He was about to part but I held on to him tightly. I missed him.

"Yah, didn't you miss me too much?", he said.

"Shut up and let's just stay like this for a while.", I said in a muffled voice as I buried my face in his chest.

When I finally let go, he pinched my nose then offered to lead me to where the wedding was. We talked while we were on the way.

"So,", I said. "How's being CEO, Kwon Soonyoung, of the company now?"

He groaned. "It's fine. Stressful, but fine." Probably too tired to even think about it... "How about you? How's the American Life?"

I shook my head. "I just quit my job. I'm planning to start my own business, though."

"Ah, that rough, eh?"

"Yupp.", I said, popping the 'p'. "The thing is, I don't know what to do."

"You'll get over it. You can call me if you need help."

"Of course, I would." I looked up at his hair and realized he dyed it again. "I see that you're blonde again."

He touched his hair. "Oh, yeah. I kinda just wanted to." He looked down at my feet. "You're wearing sneakers to a formal event?"

I shrugged. "I forgot them at the hotel." I smiled. "Doesn't this seem familiar?"

He smiled back. "You realized that, too?" It seemed just like the day we first met. I remember how we looked like. However, we've grown a lot from who we were back then. This day represents ourselves as adults now.

"It's hard to believe a long time had passed. I mean, we're at the age of marriage already.", I said.

"Speaking of marriage, we have to hurry now.", he said. "Especially me, I have a lot to do for today."

"Of course, you're the--"

"Yah! There you are!" Someone interrupted us. I see Wonwoo trudging towards us.
