-NINFA'S P.O.V-

Watching from this view, the world doesn't look so bad. But that's not true. And no one cares, no one.
"Watching the underneath tragedy again?" He asks as he opens his eyes from meditation.
"Of course, Elder."
"There is nothing you can really do, Ninfa. Your brethren will not follow lead."
"You could take over."
"I am no God."
"But you fit the criteria."
"Because I'm old, wise and have magic? Aren't you a blessing to call a man old?" He laughs at me.
I shake my head and laugh to his mockery. "No, no. The wise and magic part." I mean, 3000 years is old...
"I don't have godly powers."
Misty lightly headbutts me before curling up to next to me. I lay with her and nuzzle close to her soft and warm fur.
"Do you have to have that thing in here?"
"Where is she suppose to go?"
"The zoo."
"She is mine. I will not send my beauty out to be caged for humans to poke and try to destroy her freedom."
"She's a tiger in heaven. She has no place here."
"She is my claim and no one will touch her. She walks among us under my protection."
"But that only works because you're special to heaven. Otherwise she would be a rug like every other animal."
It's sad to think that. But animals are mated paired here. Or rugs because of over population.. Or in the prideland infinite room and I would never find her again.
"I'm not special." I counter to his other words.
"I will not argue but you know I'm right."
I sigh and scratch behind Misty's ear. My friend. My blanket and pillow.
Her loud purr makes me smile. Her beautiful white fur, beautiful blue eyes... she's even got a heavenly glow.
The Elder sits crisscross a few feet in front of me. His eyes close again as he meditates. He looks so peaceful.
I smirk to myself and get a fun idea.
I silently summon his favorite candy and begin throwing them at him. He holds his hand forward and all pieces stop in mid air before gathering themselves in his palm.
He smiles and opens his eyes. "Thank you." It always backfires..
"Of course, Elder." It always backfires..
I look back down to the world. He does the same. Misty drape her large arm over me and holds me as I watch the world destroy itself.
"Is there anything I can do? Maybe I could fight?"
"To keep monsters at bay would require a weapon powerful enough to kill instantly. There is only one known to all any creation."
"Where is it?"
"Lucifer's daughter is holder."
"Of course a demon would hold the only weapon that could save the world."
"Sadly, yes. I'm sure there would be something your father would have created."
"A father would not abandon his child if they were a true father."
"You do have a point."
I nod to him before finding myself to sigh again. "Even if he did. Even if he did. Would I be strong enough?"
He laughs loudly and it echoes. "I have no doubt, Ninfa."
"Would you be able to charm a sword to be like the one Lucifer's spawn holds?"
"No. Nothing will ever be as Sekia is. The blade is indestructible."
"Could you create something to help me at least? If I am going to help, I need protection."
He closes his eyes and meditated again. The silence is beautiful but my eyes linger to the world. He speaks but keeps his meditation.
"Advice would be to search your father's belongings. He may hold a weapon similar to Sekia. But one will never be like."
I crawl from under Misty's comfort. I bow to the Elder and then start my journey to father's quarters. Only a blood relative can get in his territory of heaven... and I happen to be the only actual blood relation.
I unlock his area and walk in. The doors slam behind me. The lights turn on as I step forward.
I haven't been in here since I was young. Though I don't remember ever having a childhood, I do remember it being when I was young. It's interesting how time hasn't much changed this place.
Heaven is like endless hallways. Hallways with names and doors, which are mostly for the humans. Behind their doors are their most precious memory or their dream paradise.
For angels, however, it is different. We live sort of like the humans. We have our homes, places that we've created as our own..things from our imagination.
For god.. father.. it's not much different. Though his is like a castle once you are pass his doors. No one but blood is allowed in. Him and I.
I walk along his hallway to his weaponry room. The room is filled with blades, guns and other torture devices. You wouldn't think God would collect such things but he has his hobbies on collecting things.
The blades all stand on a pedestal of their own with information cards. The OCD runs in the family, because this room to me is amazing and wonderfully organized.
I search through the swords. My eyes catch to a blue dragon blade. The beautiful dragon artwork crafted straight into the steel of the blade. Picking up the information card I begin to read.
'Blade forged from demon steel by dragons fires heat. Easy wield. Lightweight. Created in mid 1900s. An ability to kill monsters with a stab to the heart or decapitation. Demons receive great damage but do not die easy. No effect on angels.'
Of course it wouldn't hurt us. I roll my eyes.
'Forged by blacksmith and warrior Johnathan F.'
I flip the card searching for more but am given nothing. I sigh.
    At least it's worth something?
I grab the handle of the blade and hold it up as if I'm dueling someone...but it looks like I'm stabbing the air.
I continue my search for other weapons that may help me. Maybe a gun.. or throwing knives...
Searching guns, I find a handgun.. it has a weird design on it.. A language I do not really know.. I pick up the description card.
'Glock. Light weighted. 5 round clip. User is cursed when shot is fired.'
No detail more than that... But I don't want a cursed gun. I continue browsing the collection.
Another gun catches my eye. Another handgun. I read the card.
'9mm. Light weight. 20 round clip. Gun kills with headshot on most monsters but not all and not immediately.'
I trace the feeling of the barrel to the trigger. I like the way the metal feels cold to touch. I grab it and handle it for a moment.
I blink back to my quarters. I love blinking. It's like teleporting but much faster. It's honestly the quickest way to travel. Although I do enjoy flying.
The Elder looks up from his meditation and smiles to me.
"Find what you were looking for?"
"I guess? He has a lot of weaponry."
"A collector?"
I nod. The Elder scratches his head. "I wonder if he would have found my staff."
"I can check later."
"That would be kind of you, Ninfa."
I bow to him before sitting back down with Misty. She licks my arm...her prickly tongue..makes me slightly cringe.
"I want to soulbound these to you. That way they cannot harm you."
That mostly goes for the gun. Though I do not know what happens when an angel is attacked by the blade.
"Probably a good idea."
I hand over the weapons to him. Watching him spell things have always been fun. I never really catch on to his magical saying as I watch but I know it's working by the demon steel being engraved.
He becomes winded as it is done. In a split second action the sword is in my side. Literally in me.
He laughs loudly before pulling the sword out. It was like... my body had become ghost form around where the blade was.
"What's the matter with you?"
"Nothing, what's the matter with you?"
Testing a theory, I grab the sword and try to behead the Elder. He just laughs as the sword goes through his neck like it would going through regular air...or even mist. It's like a spirit...
"How did you know I would protect myself from it?"
I raise my eyebrow and smirk. "Why would you not think I'd test the theory I held?"
"Fair play, Ninfa."
He inspects the gun. His face more focused on what he should do for it. What he should do...
I look back down into the world. It's in nothing but chaos. I had a death counter put up because the curiosity was to great.

    Humans: 2789.
    Monsters: 648
    Demons: 573
    Angels: 1

    And going up...
I sigh. "Has there been no sign of Lucifer either?"
The Elder finishes some spell on the gun before handing it back to me. He shakes his head with a frown. "No. Gone like God."
I do wonder why my father left. It's been almost a year and... he didn't even tell me why, he just left.
I put the sword in the casing it had been in. I get on a holster for my gun and secure it in the holster. I take a deep breath.
"Are you sure you wish to do this?"
"It's not like someone else will. We were suppose to protect the humans and now the angels are all gathered and uh.. what are they doing?"
"Playing games."
"That. I know I love a good game, but this is more important."
"When will you return?"
"When the sun rises. Monsters can't survive sunlight. Demons blend in with humans, I wouldn't be able to tell them apart."
I bow to the Elder once more. He smiles to me and bows back.
"Wish me luck."
"Yes. Good luck."
I pet Misty once more for the night before dropping out of heaven. As I fall faster and faster it feels nice to be returning to earth. I open my wings before I'm too close to the ground.
    Let the night begin.
