-VALERIE'S P.O.V-

Watching the night skies once again. I fly over areas where trouble has started before and almost instantly I find another fight. Typical to return to finish a fight.
I land and morph to form quickly. Everything in the air tenses. I turn to see a human dead in the ground, along with ...a child.. and a monster.
"Have you no shame to kill an innocent child?"
I draw my sword and press it to the neck of the monster that had been fighting. My gun goes to the head of the other monster. My blood boils with rage.
"SPEAK."
As I say the word Sekia glows and the glow is sent to the monster. He is forced to speak.
"No. He did it."
I take the rage as it comes to me. In a small moment I take my blade and do a 360 spin, taking off both monsters heads. Before their bodies drop, their friends go for the attack. I give my fight effortlessly.
As the final head drops to the ground I sigh. Now to do my least favorite job. Gathering the bodies.
Once all bodies are gathered, I set them on fire. All of them catch fire quickly. I stay until they're all ash, which only takes a few moments.
Taking flight again. I breath in the beautiful night air. My head beginning to go through thought process better.
A poor child didn't deserve to have died. She had to be at least 10. I assume the other human was her father. Even he didn't deserve to die as he did.
Nothing I could do to cover their murders to make them look natural. I had to burn with the monsters. And now they fly free with the ashes that rise with the night's wind.
The mortal beings should be left alone. They didn't do anything wrong. They did not start this war and they shouldn't have to die for it.
Another fight catches my attention and I drop in the middle. Sekia instantly pulled and to one monsters throat. Gun to the head of the other.
The one with the gun to his head growls at me but keeps distance.
"Can't monster and demon get along?"
"You dare call me monster. Speak my name truthfully, girl."
I roll my eyes. "Girl. Really?"
The imp smirks to my response.
"Who do you work for, Imp?"
"Not you, bitch."
"You're very kind." I pull the trigger of my gun and he falls to the ground.
The demon laughs to him. I turn all focus to the demon.
"Who do you work for?"
"Why would I tell you?"
I cut into his neck with my blade and he begins to grow fear in his eyes.
"No one. I work alone. He attacked me. All I wanted was a damn coffee."
Searching his eyes I immediately know he's lying.
"Try again."
    I push the blade further.
"He attacked me. I was searching dens for Lucifer." He speaks the truth. "But no luck."
I nod and retire him of his search with a fatal swing. Once again I gather and burn the bodies before I take flight. I take the wind beneath my wings and breath in the fresh air.
With ears to the ground and eyes watching, I catch another. The one... it must be gang related. At least 15 on each side. I've done worse.
I silently swoop down and out of sight. I super charge myself and it's almost like the world goes in slow motion. I always enjoy doing this.
I basically go in a row, heads being removed but not yet falling. In a flash I am done with one side and left the leader out. I do the same with the other. I make my way between the leaders and return to normal speed.
The heads all drop, then guns, then bodies. I smile. Both men look at me in awe but also fear.
"Who do you guys work for?"
"I'm not a snitch."
    The other leader only growls.
"Oh come on. I just want to know who you work for."
"Not. You." The monster says between growls.
I grow impatient and give him the treatment his gang had been given. Turning myself I look at the leader whom isn't the rat apparently.
"Not a rat. But I'm sure you've heard of him."
I take off his head before he can even give his smug look. I sigh, another cleanup is required. I know it must seem grim to think of...but killing seems quite fun.
I take to the sky as soon as the ashes do. My ears catch my next target before my eyes do. I swoop down.
I shake my head. Another human dead and one seems to be stranded in the middle of a bunch of giant teeth monsters. I stay in the shadows for a moment.
She beheads one monster but the rest lunge for her. I supercharge again and take all heads off within a second. As soon as all monsters are taken care of I put the blade to her neck and regulate time.
Her.. eyes.. are so.. beautiful... a haloed light shines behind the soft teal blue..
I keep the blade a distance from her neck but she still got the point.
"What are you?"
"You wouldn't believe me."
"Answer the question."
"Angel."
I search her eyes... the beauty.. they show no lie.
I put Sekia away and begin cleaning the mess.
"What are you?"
    I ignore her questioning.
"I guess I should say thank you."
I light the fire and the bodies burn. I turn to her.
"Go home, angel. You could have gotten killed. Just go home."
I take flight and fly high in the skies. Maybe I can clear my head.. maybe.. not.
Those eyes.. were none of an angel but she wasn't lying... the blue... the light..
I shake my head and land at my balcony. As I morph back to form, Joel again ready for questions.
"How many?"
"At least 3 times the amount of last night."
I sit down and clean the blade from her collection of blood from the night.
"What's wrong, Valerie?"
I look up, Joel walks over and sits in front of me.
"There was.. this creature.. I thought she was a human."
"By the word 'creature' I would say she wasn't human."
"She said she was an angel. And she wasn't lying. But I've never seen an angels eyes being like hers."
"Was she an arc?"
"Arcs are silver, like the regular. Hers were blue."
"Blue?"
"Blue."
A wind from behind draw my attention. Cheese flops down next to me.
"Still no sign of Lucifer. The gangs are at an uprise and breeding is at an all time high."
"Ew." Joel says.
"Here I thought you wanted kids."
"The possibility of me having kids is slim."
"Bio."
"Adoption isn't great either."
I laugh at him and put away my sword.
"Cheese. I need some information."
   She leans forward.
"I came across an angel tonight. With blue eyes. I need intel on who she is and why she's trying to get herself killed."
I pause. The sword she had held helped kill the monster faster.. "and a dragon blade. It seems to be like Sekia but not."
"A blade like Sekia? That's impossible." Joel leans back in the chair. He sighs. "I'll search the web. See if someone knows anything about any of this."
Cheese hops over the couch and makes a run to the terrace before taking flight.
"I'm going to sleep for a few hours. Then I'll check the other countries for monster related problems."
"I'll keep my ear to the radar for any demonic bullshit."
Getting up, I take my leave. I fall asleep almost the second my head hits the pillow.. and I dream.

Her eyes. Mesmerizing blue with a light behind them. A small hint of fear shows but mainly purity and determination.
Her face only compliments her eyes. Her long brown hair done in a perfect messy bun. Slight blood splatter along her neckline from the monster she beheaded.
I lose myself in her eyes and my heart begins to race. My heart beats hard against my chest and sounds loud in my ears.

A pounding knock on my door wakes me.
"Valerie. Cheese got intel on your angel."
    I groan. "I'm up."
I get up and throw a loose tee on over my sportsbra before heading out into the living room.
"No pants."
"Can you see my va"
"Shut up." He interrupts me.
"What you got, Cheese?"
"She's a myth. You saw a myth."
"A myth. Can you go in further detail cause I just woke up and I don't care to play games."
"Supposedly she's the daughter of God. She's an angel but she's his blood."
"So her eyes are different because she's blood? Like how Valerie is because she's blood with Lucifer?" Joel questions.
"I would assume so." Cheese says.
Joel sighs. "I set up the walkie system." He hands me an earbud and I put it in my ear and he fixes the audio.
"Just keep this in and I'll help direct you to other places rather you do from the sky."
I nod. He scratches his head and sighs. "I know you just woke. And you only slept for a few hours. There's monster troubles in Russia."
"Trouble in Russia. Fantastic." I pause. "Thank you, Cheese."
"Of course, Mistress." She stands and bows slightly before she takes off.
"Any news on the dragon blade?"
"Nothing yet. I'm looking high and low. I'll find something, Valerie."
I nod and go get ready. Taking Sekia and wrapping her harness to my back before holstering my gun on the hip. I need to take flight...to be able to think more clearly.
To the skies I go. To travel across timezones. To fight another fight.
