I was reading Maine's blog last night and was touched by her words. She wrote about the 2017 ADN Fest and I felt her sincerity and appreciation for what we fans do for both her and Alden, and how we still are here for them after two years.

I like that she rallies us to espouse love and nurture our friendships, because beyond the adulation for their love team, the friendships we formed are a beautiful after effect of the fandom coming together. Her blog reminded me that sometimes, things don't work the way we planned them to, but it's not a reason for us to lose hope and give up altogether the things we love doing.

The most impactful feedback I got from readers came from OFWs who say that my stories make them less homesick. They are a big part of why I am still here, even after some writers have already gotten inactive. It is challenging to juggle work and write updates everyday, but I still try to do so, knowing that it's possible for me to make even just one heart happy.  Another would be  the housewives who say that their go-to after finishing all their chores is Wattpad, and that my stories are already a part of their daily routine. So readers, thank you for making my stories part of your day.

In this chapter, Dei has apprehensions about having a relationship with Richard, and yet, he is her sanctuary when the world gets too crazy for her.  He gives her joy that she cannot get from anyone or anywhere else. Her indecision is not just because of her studies but because of personal baggage as well. But Richard perseveres and is willing to take a chance, even at the risk of getting hurt.

I hope you have a great day ahead. Have a nice time reading :)

Dei was well enough to go to school the next day. Everything seemed back to normal between them, Richard was his usual attentive self, and she was determined to let go of her apprehensions about their togetherness. By the end of the last class, she and Richard were on their way out of the campus when Shaan approached them.

She looked bothered and there were dark circles under her eyes. She nodded briefly to Dei but was focused on Richard.

"Richard, I've been trying to get hold of you since yesterday. Can we talk? Dei....may I talk for a few minutes to Richard please?"

Dei nodded silently and let go of Richard's hand.

"Dei, wait......"

"No, Jay.....settle whatever it is you need to settle with her. I'm going home."

"I'll follow you home ok? Please Dei."

She looked from Richard to Shaan, noticing her hand on his arm. Richard shook off Shaan's hold on him and approached Dei. He held her hand and kissed her on the temple.

"This won't take long. Please, see me when I go to your place."

"Ok."

He waited for her to leave and went back to Shaan, his arms folded.

"Shaan I can't stay long. What is it?"

"Are you and Dei together now?"

"What does it look like, Shaan?"

"I.....I wanted to apologize for the other night. I had too much to drink, I didn't know what I was doing."

"Shaan, if you can't handle your alcohol in public then go easy on it Dei saw what happened. You're causing us unnecessary problems."

"Why would I be a problem for her? You warded off my moves, she saw that didn't she? Have you given her reason not to trust you?"

"No, but—"
