Chapter 33 - Italics

Happy weekend mga besh! Thank you for the nice words and the kilig over KatGo. This story arc was a pleasant surprise for me because it was unplanned. Walang Inigo talaga sa original story. Even my envisioning of Kat was so different when I started writing. But these characters come to life on their own, and it is a joy to write about them. I am happy that many of you are happy with the story flow. As I said, tuloy ang ligaya. 

The challenges are coming up. Some of you have been saying that it's deceitful to make people speculate on the status of the two, and that Richard does not need all this for his book. You forget though that this also about Kat who is a celebrity, and in her world, all these things are normal occurences. These are harsh realities she and sadly, Dei, Richard and Inigo have to deal with. 

And just to be clear, this story is not a love triangle, in the sense that Kat might have feelings for Richard. Hell, no. It's really how fate puts these characters into situations that test the strength of their relationships against external factors, pretty much like what MaiChard is dealing with now. Gets niyo na? So hindi ordinary third party story, diba? It is fate that they are against, not each other.

Disruption passed its first week of shooting peacefully and without a hitch. The PR team took a few stills behind-the-scenes and released the shots over Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Fans were thrilled to see Kat and Richard working together, thinking that the two really had chemistry. The hash tag #KatRich was born and trended over Twitter, thus earning the ire of Keifer's fans.

Ciara met with the team during one of the breaks on the set to discuss the developments in social media. Richard was quiet the whole time. He already expected this kind of setback, and since he agreed to push through with this arrangement, he thought it best not to whine about it and just listen.

"Kat, I know it's difficult for you to remain civil with Keifer. But for now, please refrain from making any comments about your love team. We're trying to downplay the reports that he is into substance abuse, but it's been verified, he's a user."

"Pano nalaman?"

"Nakita ng PA niya, si Archie. We already took care of the security in your place, Kat. Pati sa building ni Aaron, we alerted security na rin na huwag papasukin si Keifer, kas baka sugurin din siya."

"Ok so you took care of security and all that. What about Keifer himself? Aren't you going to address his drug problem," Inigo said impatiently.

"We will when we find him. He hasn't been going home to his unit."

"Please Ciara, " Inigo implored. "I worry about Kat's safety. Can't she stay with me?"

"Sorry Inigo, she can't. We just added security for her."

Dei was late coming to the shoot. She had a meeting with a new client and had to go to the office before proceeding to the location shoot in BGC. She entered newly-constructed building, the chosen location of their shoot, and headed to the elevator. Someone suddenly put an arm around her and held her neck in a vise-like grip.

"Keifer....What are you doing here?"

"I want to talk to Kat, take me to her."

"I'm sorry but you might not even be allowed to see her."

"Call her, tell her to come down. Now, Dei"

His hand was in his pocket, and she saw something bulging from it. She called Kat quickly.
