Ashton teaches you how to kiss

Okay, so maybe he made a mistake. Maybe that wasn’t a good idea after all. And just maybe, it might have screwed everything up because now, he didn’t know what to think.

Yes, Ashton Irwin was, in fact, now very, very confused.

Because, now, Ashton had absolutely no idea what to think about Y/N and how to approach her and if he just royally fucked up his friendship with said girl.

And it all started last night—well, evening, to be more specific, it just went on till nighttime.

And what started yesterday evening is the sole reason as to why Ashton is currently pulling his hair out in frustration.

Let’s take a rewind back to yesterday evening.

“Fucking hell,” Ashton heard the obviously feminine, and irritated—again, obviously—voice entering the room in which Ashton had resided in that evening. Looking away from his twitter, his eyebrows furrowed at his friend, who was now face-down, buried into the cushions of the sofa. The girl was groaning, fully aware of Ashton’s presence, but Y/N really couldn’t find it in her to care that much considering what she had just found out.

“Well, damn,” Ashton chuckled in amusement, turning his body around towards the sulking girl and pulling a leg up the couch to rest his forearm on, “Who crapped in your cornflakes?”

Y/N brought her head up and glared at the giggling boy in front of her, raising her eyebrow, “You think you’re funny, don’t you?” Her tone was deadpanned and annoyed.

Ashton scoffed, getting comfortable in his position as he smirked at the girl—all in good fun, “Sweetheart, I’m hilarious,” He let out another giggle as Y/N shook her head at her idiotic friend, getting up from her wallowing position so she could sit properly. Her legs were propped up and her back was resting against an array of pillows as she looked at Ashton again, her expression unchanging. Ashton tried once more, “But, okay, in all seriousness, what happened?”

Y/N smiled humorlessly—and oh, God, was it the most bitter smile Ashton had ever seen—as she spoke up, her teeth slightly gritting—almost making Ashton wince himself at the harsh sight, “Michael, the fucking genius, decided to set me up. On a date. And you want to know with who?” And before Ashton could really even guess, Y/N burst out, “I’ll tell you fucking who—Mason! He set me up with Mason, Ash!”

Ah,’ Ashton thought as the puzzle in his head was now put together.

Mason was the boy that Y/N was particularly fond of. Well, no, scratch that, Y/N was very fond of Mason. In fact, the boys would catch her completely zoning out on Mason—on his green eyes, his thick, black hair, his broad, broad shoulders, all the way down to his torso and the size of his feet. So, naturally, the boys finally put it together that Y/N most definitely liked Mason.

But, the problem—she’s barely spoken a word to him.

She’d always go quiet when he was around because she didn’t really know what to say, and to the boys—and everyone else that really knew Y/N—her silence was weird, considering that she could be excessively loud sometimes. But that was only because Y/N was comfortable around her friends, not around the boy she actually like liked.

So, Michael—the oh, so generous boy—decided to set her up on a blind date with him. Except it wasn’t really blind because both people knew who they were going on a date with.

And the date was tomorrow night.

“Wait,” Ashton said, his confusion seeping through his words as he didn’t even know what the problem was because Y/N is actually getting a date with the guy she likes, “Why are you freaking out? Shouldn’t you be all giggly and jumping for joy?”
