Learning to forgive

As they all sat around awkwardly at the couch, my eyes started to roam around. When doing so I couldn't happen to notice Tomis's hand was broken and began to wonder what happened. It wasn't there at the diner, so it must of happened recently.

" How'd you break your hand?" I ask as he looked up and gave a smirk before answering.
" What? You worried about me darling?" He asked causing my face to turn into disgust.
" No, just wondering what genius move you made to get your hand broken." I spat causing him to chuckle.

" Killed a man." He says to me as I roll my eyes, and then shrug my shoulder.

" Wouldn't doubt it." I say before looking at my parents." Congratulations mom and dad on allowing a murderer into my home, and allowing him to become my soon to be stepdad."  I say with pure annoyance as my mom shakes her head in disappointment while my dad just sat there.

It was once again silent...

" So mom, I've been wondering why you finally decided to finally come see me. Is it the holidays ?So we can finally wanting to try to work things out? or do you just want to stay for a few weeks with your murdering boyfriend, take my dad's money, and leave to only get my hopes up?" I spat as she looked up with an angry/sad expression.

" Danny that's enough." My dad finally spoke.

" It's the truth dad, but she doesn't want to hear it. I grew up without a mother in my life! But what makes me angry is knowing she left me! She left you! She ruined our family for drugs! Do you know that that is still the most hardest things Ive had to deal with? Now you are going to hold me back from telling her how I feel?" I say rather harshly.
