He won't admit his feelings - Damon

So you and Damon are best friends and have been since you and Stefan became close and of course you have feelings for him but you could never admit it to him because he is way out of your league. He would never like you back but what you didn't know he was deeply in love with you but he couldn't tell you for the same reasons. But because you are so close to the Salvatore's and the whole mystic gang and you are human along with Matt and Elena you keep getting kidnapped or hurt to be used as leverage and you are sick and tired of it. You keep nagging at Damon to help train you but he keeps refusing because it is 'too dangerous' and you keep asking the other but Damon got to them first and they don't say it to Matt and Elena because they know how to defend themselves.Today was another day where Damon had to rescue you from anther enemy and you have had enough
'Come on Damon please!! This is just going to keep on happening and I am sick and tired of it' he was about to same something then you raise your hand and say 'Don't! Don't you say I'm always be there to protect you because you don't know that you cant promise that'  ten he says 'Come on Y/N I am a Vampire a I'm a great one so I'm not going anywhere so I will always be there to protect you, so enough of that do you wan't a drink I recently got this ..' 'I have had enough for one day I'm leaving, if you wont help me I'll find someone else who can' then you push past him him and walk out knowing in your head where you were going and if anyone knew your plan they would try an stop you and you are fed up. You knew going to the Mikaelsons was a dangerous idea but you have met Klaus briefly ands he seemed nice so you don;t know what the big deal is they all seem perfectly nice.

So you you arrive at the compound and your heart is beating very fast and its a mister of nervousness and excitement. You approach the door and you knock on the door then you wait for the someone to answer and when they do it is the famous Niklaus
"Well if it isn't Y/N please come in" past him into the large house looking around as he asks "what can I do for you" then you instantly say "I want to learn how to defend myself and no one else will help me because of Damon but I know you will, will you?" You look at him with a facial expression which is mixed with hope and nervousness he chuckled then says "Of course I will, no one wants to be the damsel in distress forever, when shall we start" then you looked surprised then happy and you were about to say thank you then you realise that their could be a catch so you say "what will I have to do in return" then he smiles walks closer to you then says "can't a man just help a woman in need without an agenda" then you laugh then says "well let's start now then"

It has been about a month now and you were really enjoying your time with Klaus because he wasn't treating you like you were weak, more like you were equal. He was actually helping you and you were learning a lot. You were starting to forget about your feelings towards Damon. The gang started to wonder where you went of too but you just said the gym, which was half true because you would join him on his workout sometimes. But Damon started to catch in because when the gang would have to talk to the Mikaelsons he would catch you and Klaus making eye contacting and even mouthing things to each other. So one day he followed you and he saw you entering the Mikaelson compound with nothing but work out clothes on so he decides to storm up to the door but he over heard your voice
"Hey I just want to thank you again for doing this, I really appreciate it" then Klaus speaks up and Damon immediately scowls " No problem, I was happy to be off help" then what you say next breaks Damon's heart into a million pieces "it was just getting frustrating that he was treating me like a baby. I mean I let is slide because I cared about him as more than I friend but I knew inside he would never feel the same." and Damon is about to about to burst in he hears Klaus speak up "well you know I have always thought of you as a strong independent women. And I'm not sure if this will come as any consolation but I really care for you" As soon as he says that something inside you clicks, Klaus always put you first and he was more than happy to train you. He was way more of a gentlemen than Damon was.  The more you spent time with him your crush on Damon became smaller and your one for Klaus became bigger. So you smile and say
"I care for you too" then he leans in and so do you and you both meet in a really beautiful kiss. You both break off smiling. You are finally happy in what seems like ages. But what you don't know is Damon's heart is broken and he is kicking himself for loosing the love of his life.
