You loved Elijah Mikaelson so much, he was the love of your life and you were engaged to be married. You were so excited to spend the rest of your lives together, and you thought he felt the same, but recently you have been proved wrong. Ever since we discovered about Hope Elijah became protective of Haley and put her safety above all else. Of course you were happy for them because it was a miracle, Klaus was also your best friend so you were over the moon for him. You always said to yourself once the baby was born he would ease off, once again he proved otherwise. He as Haley continues to spend every waking moment with each other and Elijah would act as if Hope was his own, you just had to sit and watch your fiancée drift away. In the morning you would wake up to an empty space next to you and when you would fall a sleep he would kiss you on the cheek then roll over and sleep facing away from you. You decided not to bother anymore since he clearly doesn't.
"I've had enough, I'm done" you say collapsing on Klaus' bed. He laughs and joins you "With What Love?" And you give a big sigh and say "Elijah is acting like I have a spell on me that keeps him away from me. He never talks to me anymore, unless someone else he is talking to includes me in the conversation. I mean he fucking proposed to me for Christ sake" and this makes him laugh " yeah well Haley isn't exactly backing down and he doesn't see how great you are" you lol at him and smile as you slightly shove him "You've always been my favourite" you say sitting up and he nods "Oh I know love, I always am" and you rest your head on his shoulders.
"I think I'm going to go away for a while, try and forget the shitstorm that has become my life" you say staring down your head hall to see Elijah and Haley over Hope's crib. "For how long" he asks "Has long as it takes to forget about him" you say "What if I don't want you to go" he says as you turn and meet his gaze. "Then come with me" you say which makes him smile. "And just for the record love, I will always care about you" he says and this makes you smile then your eyes flash down to his lips and his do the same and you both lean in but you put a finger against his lips " I am still engaged so how about we wait and do all that until somewhere more private?" you smile and he smirks "sounds perfect" he says as he stand ups up "Right I'll make a call and get us a reservation in a hotel, and I'll pack some things for us and you go break off your engagement to my idiotic brother" he smiles and you kiss him in the cheek "There is nothing else I'd rather do" as you walk confidently walk down the corridor.
You walk in the room and pull the ring off and you say "Here you go Haley you'll be needing this" you chuck it in the crib and walk away. "Y/n what are you doing?" Elijah say and he gives Hope to Haley and walks after you "Giving your fiancée her ring that she's been waiting for isn't it?" not turning round and walking down stairs "But you are my fiancée" he says and you stop turning around and say
