Honeymoon - Kol (wedding part 2)

Please read both wedding parts before reading ahead of this. These parts are some of my favourite I have every written.

We were being driven to the airport and me and Kol were holding hands the whole time. I was smiling leaving my head on his shoulders whilst he was looking out the window. I look at him and his eyebrows were furrowed and his jaw was tense
"You ok?" I say and he turns to me and smiles
"Of course" he says but I'm not convinced
"What was with the serious look? You having second thoughts?" I say pulling my hands away and he laughs
"No, there is no world which I would regret marrying you. I was just lost in thought" he says putting his hands on my cheek. I put my hands on top of his and I feel his wedding band. I take his left hand to look at the ring. I run my finger over it smiling.
"Always and forever" he say and I look up at him as he kisses my left hand
"I thought it was only you and your sibling that say that?" I say and he puts a hand on my cheek
"Y/n, you are family, you're my family. You are a Mikaelson now" he says and I say
"Always and forever" he smirks and we lean in and share a quick kiss because we arrived at the airport.

Once we get out I realise that we are by the runway and there was a small jet in front of us. The driver was giving our luggage to the cabin crew.
"Wait whats happening?" I say looking at him and he is just smiling "you got us a private jet?" I say and he nods. "Oh my god Kol!! This is all too much" I say and he takes my hands
"You are worth it" he says as he picks me up bridal style and carries me into the plane. Once we have been on the plane for a while and we are sipping on some champagne. I want to know where we are going
"Ok will you tell me now where we are going?" I say and he smiles
"Amalfi Coast" your eyes widen
"We are going to Italy?" I say and he nods. I tackle him in a hug
"Thank you think you thank you"I say kissing him multiple times. Once we land we head straight to our hotel. And I thank him all night if you know what I mean. (I'm sorry😹)

The next few days we went for a strolls around the town, site seeing, shopping just taking it all in enjoying some peace and quiet. Earlier in the week I spotted a gorgeous beach so I dragged Kol there today and we are currently are. He went for a swim in the ocean and I am currently reading my book soaking up the sun. I watched as he stood up slowly front the water, the water glistening on his toned stomach from the sun. I bit my lip which made him smirk. As I was about to look back at my book I felt a buzz next to me. I checked my phone but I had no notifications, I looked for Kols phone which was on the other side of our sun bed. I reached and grabbed it and I saw texts from Nik; I had no intentions of reading his texts at all because I believe in privacy even in a marriage but something caught my eye
There is no sign of him anywhere. Me and Elijah have been looking for days, but don't worry we will keep searching and keep you updated.

Then there was one from Elijah
The Salvatores searched her old apartment and found no trace of him. Myself and Nicklaus have had no luck either but I will not rest until I can assure both of your safety. I hope your honeymoon is going well.
Then lastly there was one from Bekah which was less worrying
Text the Salvatores and tell them Y/n is ok. They are driving me mad and if they ask me one time I will kill them then Y/n will kill me. Also tell her to message me.
I put the phone down and sit up confused, as I do this Kol comes and dries himself with a towel. When he sits down he puts an arm around my waist

"How is my gorgeous wife?" He says kissing my cheek and I reply
"Good. Um is there anything you need to tell me?" I ask holding his hands and he smiles
"Not that I think of" he says and I smile and sigh
"Kol, I love you so much. But I saw some texts which are worrying me. I complete value your privacy but who are Nik and Lijah tying to find?"I say and I feel his grip tighten on my hands. He avoids my eye contact. I lift his chin up gently so he looks at me
"Kol, you can tell me anything. We are married now we are a team. I love you so much, anything you have to face I will face right along side you" I say and he kisses me on the lips
"That's what I'm worried about, I couldn't handle it if you got hurt again because of me" he says and I take his hands reassuring him
"Kol, who are they looking for?" I say and he shudders
"Mikael... he ran away before Nik could even kill him" he says and I nod. I knew he would be able to hear my heart but I don't show it "I didn't want to worry you because our wedding was already ruined by him and I couldn't not ruin anything else for you" he says and I laugh
"Kol Mikaelson, I don't care about what happened at the wedding. All I cared about that day was marrying the love of my life. There is no world in which you could ruining anything for me. What happened to me was your fathers fault not yours ok? Do not blame yourself" I say and he looks at me smiling
"I love you so much Mrs Mikaelson" he says and it makes me giggle
"I need to get used to hearing that" I say and he kisses me. It starts to escalate but his phones starts to ring, we pull apart to see it is Niks. He sighs and answers it putting it on speaker
"What's wrong brother?" He says and I giggle slightly
Kol we have a problem, are you alone?"
"No, y/n is here you are on speaker. She knows she is alive" he says then I speak up "hi Nik, what's happened is everyone ok?" I ask there is a silence
We are all ok but I'm not sure about the two of you he says making me and Kol share a worried look
"What do you mean?" He says
We finally tracked down our father
"Where is he?" Kol says angrily and I put my hand on his thigh and stroke it with my thumb to calm him down
Italy that one word made my heart stop
"Nik you can't be serious?" Kol says putting an arm around my shoulder to calm me down
"Elijah managed to follow a trail of bodies, the most recent one was in Rome" he says and I can't believe it
"But we are meant to be going to Rome tomorrow" I say looking at Kol "you are definitely sure he is in Rome?" Kol says
"Yes we have 5 citings from reliable sources. I don't think you should go to Rome anymore. It's not safe" he says and I look down not wanting a Kol to see my tears
"What do you suggest brother?" He says angrily.
"I think you both should come home. Where you will have our protection" Nik says and Kols at me a second then says
"I'll book a flight then. Thank you brother"
I'm sorry Y/n Nik says and I reply
"It's not your fault" is all I say as I start to pack up my things I brought with me. Kol hangs up the phone and helps to pack everything away. He stops for a moment and takes me and kisses me, we pull apart after a few seconds
"I promise as soon as it's safe I will get you to Rome" he says stroking my arms and I laugh
"Kol that is not what I am upset about. I'm just worried that Mikael might h hurt you or any of y your family or S Stefan and D D Damon" I try to say more but I get overcome with emotion and he hugs me
"Hey hey shhh it's ok it's ok. There is no way in hell I will let my father anywhere near my family or yours ok. Mikael won't hurt me ok?? He won't get near us to even try" he says as he pulls away to wipe my tears and I nod
"I'm just annoyed that I can't help you. I mean I have no powers or anything" I say and he takes my hand
"Y/n Mikaelson you help me the most out of anyone in existence. You are the reason I am alive. But it terms of this situation what you can do to help is stay away from the fighting and not get hurt. Because if a hair on your body is hurt I will kill anyone who has to do with it and anytime who is associated with them" he rambles on which makes me giggle.
"Let's go pack you idiot" I say taking his hand and leading him up the beach. He would usually kill anyone who would call him back but you are an exception.

Once back at the hotel, Kol arranged the flights for later that night whilst I finished packing. I had a shower and got into some comfy traveling clothes and put some out for Kol. Once he got off the phone he got changed and we decided until our taxi arrived just to watch some Netflix on my laptop. Kol was about to press play when my phone started ringing I check the ID and it says Stefans calling me
"Hey Stef" I say
Y/n what hotel are you staying in? I turn to Kol and he mouths the name to me
"Villa Maria hotel, why is it for you and Caroline?" I say joking but he doesn't laugh
Mikael just checked in. You need to get out if there now I don't even properly register what he has said before Kol grabs the phone from me
"Salvatore are lying to me right now?" He says
No I am being serious get Y/n out of there now and to the airport Kol hangs up and grabs my hands and takes me towards the balcony doors. I am still in shock but his voice brings me out my daze
"Y/n y/n listen I promise nothing will happen to you but do you trust me?" He says and I nod. He opens the balcony doors. Grabs my waist and we jump of the balcony onto the ground by the entrance of the hotel. Then he speeds us to the airport. We book into our flight and head straight towards the gate.
"Kol our luggage"
"Whilst you were in shock I speeded them into a hidden cupboard. I contacted the front desk saying we needed to leave immediately for our safety and they will send it to us" I nod slightly still feeling really unsafe.

A while goes past and we are now boarding our plane. Once we get on the aircraft me and Kol take our seats, they are j an row of three and we see a man sitting in the window seat. I go in the middle and Kol sits in the isle so he can have leg room. Once I get into my seat I accidentally nudge them
"Oh I'm so sorry" I say to them and they
"It's all right daughter" the voice made blood run cold. Kol looks to his right and sees his father in the other side of me "This is going to be quite the adventure" he says
