You bump into each other a year later and you both have moved on
You were visiting your family in mystic falls, since you have moved to LA about a year ago to get away from your old life and to pursue your acting career. You knew you would have to bump into Stefan at some point and you just hoped it won't be to awkward. Your break up didn't end badly, you both just fell out of love. However, after you left you found out from Caroline that he had cheated on you with her. You weren't bothered though because you saw it coming on and you didn't want to start your new life still being stuck on some old quarrel. Plus you had met your now boyfriend/love of your life Noah. You met him on the set of his movie "To All The Boys I've Loved before" you were just an extra because your agents booked you this gig to get some experience and to get in touch with some directors and meet other actors. You caught Noah's eyes and you guys started flirting and texting till he asked you to go the premier with him and that's where your relationship started.
Your parents loved him so you brought him with you, he needed a break from all of his press tours as well and he loved the idea of travelling with you. So you guys were grabbing lunch at the grille, making sure to get a both in the corner so that you didn't draw any attention so you could have some piece and quiet. "So how do you like my hometown?" You say taking his hands "I love it, I loved getting to know where you grew up. Plus get more boyfriend points from the family" he says smirking leaning in to kiss you "Oh yeah?" You say as your lips meet and you guys kiss. Once you part you look over to the door and you see Stefan and Caroline walk in hand in hand. "Oh god" you see nodding to the door and Noah looks and he sees the, "oh well that has killed the mood" he says and you laugh. Then he starts smirking "How about we go back to our hotel room and have some fun? Finish what we started?"he says outing his hand on your upper thigh and you look at him smirking "I like the sound of that" you say leaning and you kiss him. As you guys are minding your own business you hear someone clear there throat. You both turn your head to see Caroline and Stefan standing there awkwardly.
"Hi, guys" you say and Noah puts an arm around your shoulder pulling you into him "Y/n you didn't say you were in town?" Caroline says trying to break the tension and she pulls her hand from Stefans "Yeah, well it was a last minute thing, we are only here for a few days and didn't know how much free time we would have because I needed to see my parents plus he has some work stuff to do" you say looking at him smiling. "How are you two anyway" you say not interested but you thought it would be polite. "We have been busy looking out for everyone but also with studying. We actually just got back from a romantic weekend getaway" Caroline says and Stefan nods "How have you been Y/n" Stefan asks and you stare at him for a minute "I have never been better actually, my career is kicking off. I have the best boyfriend a girl could ask for who has been cheering me along the way. We are actually going to be in a film together soon so that is very exciting" you say and Noah kisses your cheek "Oh my god! You are Noah Centineo!" Caroline says holding a hand over her mouth and he laughs "Yeah, and you must be Caroline. I have heard some things about you" he says and you hold back a laugh "All good things I hope" she says and he doesn't reply
"Well, we actually have to go back to our hotel because I have a meeting there in a bit. So we should get going" he says and you both stand up. "Hey, do you mind if I speak to Stefan for a minute? I'll meet you in the car" you say to Noah and he nods kissing you before heading off. Stefan does the same to Caroline and asked her to go get them a table.
"So, you two are going strong then" you say and he nods smiling "Yeah, she's great. Look Y/n I'm sor-" you cut him off "Stefan, I don't care anymore. We broke up, we didn't love each other anymore. I will admit it did sting a bit finding out from her after I left but I understood. You two are better together than we ever were so I am happy for you" you say putting a hand in his shoulder "You and Noah seem really happy as well" he says and you nod "He's amazing" you say staring at the door knowing he is there waiting for you. "Well I should not keep him waiting. It's been great seeing you" you say giving a hug and you give each other a quick squeeze. "We should keep in contact more" he says and you nod "I'll text you once I'm in our hotel. Also, if you are ever in LA" you say walking away and he smiles "0f course" you smile "See you Stef" and he smiles "See you"
