CH 1 Where To Now?

(Rey's Point of View)

After Finn finishes tending to the girl he comes over to me and sits down.

"Who is she?"

"Her name is Rose. She's with the resistance" He says with a smirk.

I smile back and look at the floor. As I realize that I have no idea what is going to happen next my smile fades and I begin to worry. Will my friends be alright? Where will we go? How far behind us will The First Order be?

"Hey" He said putting a hand on my shoulder, "everything is going to be alright, we can get through this." He said almost as if he is reading my mind.

"Yeah, I hope so"

"Aren't rebellions built on hope? At least that's what I've heard." He said still smiling.

"Yes, they are. I should probably get back to Chewie, I'm sure he has an idea of where we're going"

"Alright, but if you ask me you look like you could get some rest."

"I will, later." I promise him, get up, and make my way to Chewie.

On my way to the cockpit Leia stops me and asks to talk. I don't feel like talking anymore but I can't say no.

"Rey, please sit" She asks politely. "As you know our numbers have dwindled drastically and I know you don't have enough supplies and fuel on this ship to support us for long."

"I agree, but where do we go?"

"I don't know, but we need to hide and quickly. The First Order is good at finding us and we can't let that happen, especially not now. I was thinking somewhere on the outer rim, somewhere we can begin rebuilding our Rebellion. What do you think?"

"That sounds good, It might work. I'll get back to Chewbacca and he can look for something out there on our monitors." I answer hoping she'll let me leave the lounge.

"Rey, we couldn't have done this without you. You saved our lives, I can't thank you enough."

"It's really nothing, I'm just happy you guys made it out safely. I only wish we could've saved more" I say with a smile and retreat to Chewie.
