*HEIDI'S P.O.V*

It's crazy how fast your life can change. One second I was looking at her thinking 'yes we saved her!' And the next I was cradling her head in my hands, praying she would hold on long enough for us to get to the hospital.

I saw it happen. I was a witness. I saw the knife go in and out. A knife, a large butcher knife, covered in her blood. I saw her fall, I saw her flatline. I watched her die.

And now, a week later, I see her lying in a hospital bed with tubes sticking out of every crevice of her body. I see her chest rising and falling with every breath she takes. I see her parents crying over their almost loss. I see her aunt Megan apologizing profusely. I see everything. But most importantly?

I see her alive.

*LUKE'S P.O.V*

I frantically ran from the car, not worrying about letting the others catch up to me. I had waited a week, I couldn't wait any longer. Heidi called me and told me everything that happened and I knew immediately that I needed to be there. I needed to be with her, to comfort myself if nothing else.

I ran through the hospital doors and caught the elevator to her floor. I barely gave the doors time to open before I was out of them and to the desk.

"Bentley Ravens, I'm looking for Bentley Ravens." I panted. The nurse took her time looking at the computer before looking back up to me.

"They aren't letting anyone go in and see her at this time." She told me with no sympathy in her voice.

"What? Of course they are, I'm her bo-"

"He's with me. There will be three more boys coming and they're also with me." I turned around and saw a disheveled Heidi standing there.

I walked over to her and wrapped my arms around her shoulders, pulling her close to me. She let out a weak sigh and patted my back before pulling away. Her face was pale and she looked exhausted. Her hair was up in a greasy ponytail and she had dark circles under her eyes.

"Has she woken up yet?" I asked her.

She shook her head and crossed her arms. "She's breathing and she's alive, but she hasn't been conscious yet. She lost a lot of blood, Luke. The doctors don't know when she will wake up."

I clenched my jaw and nodded. I was about to say something else, but was interrupted by the ding of the elevators.

"Nice waiting for us man." Michael said as soon as he saw me. Calum pushed by him and ran over to Heidi, lifting her into his arms. She held onto him like he was her lifeline and let out quiet sobs. He rubbed small circles into her back to get her to calm down and slowly set her back down, kissing her on the forehead.

"Can we see her?" Ashton asked Heidi. She looked at me, waiting for me to answer.

"Um, can I?" I began. They all simultaneously agreed and Heidi took my hand, leading me to Bentley's room.

"Her parents are here, they haven't left since Tuesday." She informed me.

"What a way to meet the parents." I attempted to joke, seeing a small smile on Heidi's face.

Heidi knocked twice and opened the door. "Mr. and Mrs. Ravens? This is Luke." She stepped aside and let me walk in.

I shook hands with an official looking man with Bentley's grey eyes and got hugged by a woman with the rest of Bentley's features.

"Heidi's told us about you." The man informed me. "You're her boyfriend?"

I looked down at the beautiful girl I love with all the tubes in her arms and chest and nodded. "Yeah."
