Warm tears fell upon your delicate skin as you picked up the last of your bags and stared at what you had called home for years. A flashback of memories clouded your thoughts as you locked the front door for the very last time, a car beeping snapping you out of the thoughts.
"Sweetheart, we have to get going." You wiped away the fallen tears on your cheeks and made your way towards the car, where y/cc/n was seated in the front seat.
"Life will only get better from here, right?" You muttered under your breath, clicking the seatbelt in and averting your gaze downwards.
"Yes, we'll finish high school at the new city we'll be meeting up with your parents in and life will begin there." Y/cc/n said, a small and gentle smile directed towards you.
"I just feel bad about leaving our friends.." You started but y/cc/n cut you off, "don't feel bad, your safety and happiness should always go first."
"Alright, let's get going." You sighed, returning a smile.
"Hey, whatever happens, just know this is what's best and that I love you. "
"And I love you."
