His POV

Days and nights already passed and my mind is still in turmoil. It's been days since I was crowned as the King.

I don't really wanted power and the crown anymore, I was ready to give it all up for Rain.

But I was not given that much choice, Drake does not want the thrown and I was older than him.

The kingdom and council are all asking me a favor. They wanted me to marry Fayra, they want to have a powerful heir. But I don't wanted her.

Maybe we had some nights together but it doesn't mean anything to me but sins, not to my mate but to the woman I love.

In this past few days, Rain and I has no time to talk because there are a lot of people and the council might see the both of us. It can be a big issue.

I know in myself that she's the only woman I love, but I was caught up it this situation.

I was now in my balcony while looking in front of the darkening sky. The sun was setting just above the mountain but I still have the feeling of heavy rocks just above me to be balanced.

"Arrow? " I heard someone entered my room and there I saw my mate.

"Bella? Why are you here? " I asked as she looks at me.

"Is it that hard to choose? Choices are always given but all are at risk, I don't wanna be a burden to you, you can always break the bond. " she said and a pained image of Yna flashed in my mind that's why I shake my head, no.

"I can't, I once made a wrong decision. My father and former mate died because of me. " I said and looked down. I can still remember everything.

"I-I have something to tell you, Arrow." she said and I faced her.

I can sense that she is feeling nervous, her trembling hands are folded togethere in her sides into a fist.

"I am a witch. I cannot be with you. " She said and I looked at her in shock. But, it is impossible.

"What? But you're my mate, how come that that will happen?" I said and she looks at me and smiled.

"I have to leave, this is for the best of all. You will understand everything soon. But remember to choose what your hearts says. I'm not in the right position to tell you, anyway." she said and give me a hug.

"B-but... " I was about to protest but she shook her head.

"I'm breaking the bond between us." I felt this tingling sensation but not the thorn and pained feeling unlike what I felt with Yna.

"You'll understand everything soon." she said and smiled.

She took a wand and in a blink of an eye, she is already gone.

"Your highness, remember to follow your heart..." that's what I heard before someone knocked on my door that brought me back to reality.

"Arrow. The council... " I heard Fayra as she approached me but I just looked at a different direction so that I won't see her face. I was still thorned between choices that had happened before.

"I know, I just need more time to think." I said.

"Or is it because of her? You don't want to choose me because of her? God! I've been here for you since you grew fangs but when will ever appreciate my presence?" she said and I looked at her.

I can see the pain in her eyes but I can't feel anything to react at. I commit a lot of sins with her but she is still nothing to me, all of it are mistakes but I don't wanted to do then again.
