[minju's pov]

he smiled at me.

that was the first time i laid my eyes on his. it was the same hair, clothes, and scent i remembered.

some would say it was never meant to be and i believed it. i stopped trying so hard and dropped my feelings behind.

and maybe it was the wrong thing to do.

yes, i did something i regret very much. it was the wrong thing to do and i've only realized after he left.

"congratulations on winning!" everyone shouted, giving me a smile and high fives.

the smile on my face began hurting my cheeks. the aching never stopped.

"hey min!"

i squeezed out of the crowd and made my way to my friend, jihyo. she smiled and grabbed my arm.

"let's go celebrate together. my treat." jihyo insisted and it gave me a hard time saying no.

a sigh escaped my lips as i nodded my head. she broke into a cheerful glee and lead me to the others.

we walked to the pub in a noisy crowd. as the others talked to me, I scanned the people around us.

and then i saw him. my ears tuned out any conversations and i continued to stare.

all of us were seated and i took a glimpse at him once more. i missed him, but he doesn't miss me,

i hurt him.
